So um i always EVER wanted to DRAW ON OEKAKI board but NEVER got a chance because i mean java is too difficult for me to handle so i decided oekaki or not i choose nto but now aobut virus i would choose not if i were you and delete it permenantly quickly as soon as possible. I hope Tess talks about having oekaki WITHOUT havign java or i assume many players would have the virus.
And also my firned told me on face book DONT PLAY ANY GAMES ON it because her mom once did play a game and guess what happened... She got a trojan virus So i advise NOT to have any java that i dont know lolz but ask your parents first! and best buy XDD

This seems to apply more to people going to suspicious sites that may run Java that is infected with the malware. I feel that Oekaki is safe on here, since CS is supposed to be a trustworthy site. I could be wrong, but this is what it sounds like to me, and others are blowing everything out of proportion, causing more panic than needed.

I have to agree with you there. CS is meant to be pretty safe (I've used it since 2009 and I've had no virus problems with it. ^u^), and I think someone said it will ask you if you want to run it anyway? o3o

Yes, it now asks if you want to run it sort of. It says it has vulnerabilities and if you want launch it. At least on Mozilla.

Guys.. Java is the exact same system on any website, regardless of whether or not they're considered "safe". Java, regardless of which site you're on, is the same exact Java. And just because it hasn't caused problems in the past (I've never had issues with it personally), doesn't mean there isn't an issue now. My brother and mother had been using it fine for years too, and yet guess what happened to them. With more and more posts from bloggers and newsgroups alike coming up about the matter, deeming this a rather large threat, I'd say it's a little better to blow it out of proportion than it is to not give it enough credit. Please look at the sources provided in the first post for more information.

I quote Glomp; "It's better to think it's the worst thing out there and have nothing happen, than to act as though it's though it's nothing and have the worst happen.".
