Hello guys c: it's been while since I've posted. I have a question and I don't know if it is different for each sect, but do you need to be baptized to go to heaven?
In my friends baptist church, they passed around juice (instead of wine) and crackers. I couldn't have any because they said you neesed to be baptized, and I am not....can you tell me why this is?
I wouldn't think you'd need to be baptized to go to heaven, but I heard this somewhere. Can you guys help explain? Thanks

Some people believe you have to be baptized to go to heaven. I don't believe that. Getting baptized is a public confession of faith, one you make after you are saved.

Truly I do not know too much about that but you need to be baptised to be accepted into the Christian faith.

Thank you guys ^_^ I don't think I need to be baptised because I would like to worship in my own way, and it seems a little weird to me, the idea that even if you are very faithful, you can't go to heaven just because you weren't baptised...but hey, thats just me c:

Hmmmmm, that is very strange. I am baptist and at my church you don't have to be baptized to partake in communion. I am not baptized but I am saved. Maybe they want to make sure you are serious about this(?), it is a very serious matter I don't know why they wouldn't let you...

And no I don't believe you need to be baptized to go to heaven, although you should. But say there was a sick man who was saved but he dies before he could get baptized, as long as he believes that Jesus dies on the cross for him (its a lot more complicated than just him dying on the cross for us though) then I believe he would go to heaven.

A lot of denominations believe different things, but yes, it is weird. It never says in the bible that you must be baptized to go to heaven. Its just an act of obedience.

My belief is that you don't. For sake of reference, Jesus told the man on the cross next to Him that he would be with Him in paradise that same day. He didn't get down off the cross and say, "Wait, let me baptize you first!" Romans also says that you need to believe and confess with your mouth. That's it C: That guy believed that Jesus was the Christ and he did confess it with his mouth. I believe Jesus saw that and wants to see the same in us. I don't think He wants us to obsess over things like juice vs wine. ^^ Purely my thoughts as some believe opposite.

I dont think so. Everyone who believed in the lord Jesus is baptized by his blood. So there for you are baptized by the word and the spirit!

Just saying I believe that there are God's angels on earth because once when I was little I was running up a cement stair case at my old school and some kid ran literally right in front of me and I almost fell backwards and cracked my skull open (sorry if this is scaring any one with an image) and no one was behind me but I felt a push witch helped me keep my balance and not fall backwards.

There are angels everywhere, in everyday life. Helping the ones that ask for it, or are in danger.
