Yes yes, this is what I mean, sorry for the confusion/wrong terminology. Never been really been big on giving my feelings about this a label, I just picked the one I thought would fit it best. =P
I have passing thoughts about things like entities/higher powers/ect and wonder about them being real or not, but in the end I am always more willing to believe in science and what is tangible or explainable. I don't know if everyone goes through this with whatever they believe/do not believe in, or has moments when they doubt their beliefs. Which is why I say I'm leaning, I don't want to be like "Yeah I'm this" when I'm not sure 100% you know?

I'm not sure if you're thinking of the right thing when you say 'Scientology' - science is the study of the physical world to understand it (and has no religious component), while Scientology is a cult that has no connection to science whatsoever and is based on a science fiction novel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology). There is no real term for people who accept scientific explanations for things, and there are many theists who see no conflict between science and their beliefs. Science isn't even on the scale of Theist --> Agnostic --> Atheist; it's completely separate from religious beliefs or lack thereof. ;3

Yeah, I started reading up on it earlier today and that's not it at all. :\ I guess I'm just gonna stick with Agnostic and leave it at that, since that one might also describe it best.Putting science aside for a mintue, it's just not really knowing what to believe either way or doubting other's beliefs/religious experiences.

Now I've got a question, I know personally one Atheist and I was never really clear on what it really means to be one? I've always seen/ been told that Atheists don't believe in anything... which I find hard to understand, I mean some even go to Atheist churches so that's showing a belief in something. o_O?
And before it's pointed out, I know church is just a place of gathering, not limited to Christianity. =P

Atheists simply don't believe in the existence of gods. :3 They may or may not have other spiritual/religious beliefs like believing in ghosts, spirits, reincarnation, rebirth, karma, etc., so atheism can be a pretty mixed bag of beliefs, with the only thing common to all being the absence of belief in any god. Some atheists attend church-like gatherings (for lack of a better term) where they share their spiritualities and beliefs with others - from what I've seen it typically emphasizes humanism, which is generally described as 'the belief in humanity' and is about treating others well, supporting people's rights and freedoms, respecting the beliefs of others and so on, and fixing humanity's problems ourselves instead of relying on some outside force to come in and do it for us.

Universal Unitarianism is the umbrella term for those churches, and they aren't based on any one religion or belief system, instead drawing from the good points of any ideology and bringing out similarities and connections between various beliefs. It gives people the social network and feel-good aspect of religious churches without requiring religion itself, though some aspects of it may resemble the practices of religious churches ('sermons', discussions of various holy books or meaningful writings, group meditations/prayers, etc.). Not all atheists or agnostics go to those though, and the gatherings are open to people of all religions and beliefs (or lack thereof) so long as they're willing to be openminded and respect the beliefs of others. :3 I've never gone to one myself, so all this is based on what I've seen others say about UU churches. X3 As far as I know, most atheists don't attend any form of church, UU or otherwise.

I was on here a while ago, and my username used to be viperess, and I wasn't really any religion, But now I'm more of a Greek Polyethiest, [sp?] and I lost a whole bag of marshmallows the other night for my gods. So, yeah... xD

I think you swapped the name, it's Unitarian Universalist. XD
I attend a UU church regularly, and this is completely true. I am also atheist, and many of my friends are as well, and there are some people that observe(is that the right term?) other religions. The father of one of my closest friends is a UUBhuddist, for instance.

There are seven 'principals' based off caring for and respecting the earth and all people on it. During services, there are usually references to holy books, sometimes an idea that everybody has probably heard, such as Noah's Ark, and sometimes through an excerpt from the Bible, Koran, or other holy books.

I can try to answer any questions anyone may have, as I have been attending since I was a baby.
I quit CS.

Ps. Sorry for wrong spelling/grammar, im originally dutch.
