Did Adam or Eve have a belly button?
Why doesn't the Bible mention dinosaurs? They existed, right?

So much discussion over something so...strange XD

I was interested in the belly button thing (even though it's kinda not that important to debate on), googled it, and I found this site. I liked the idea in the last paragraph. I don't really care if they did or not (really, I don't) but it's an interesting thing to think about, not to dwell or debate on in my opinion XD

Dinosaurs did exist because we have fossils, tracks, and such. I don't think there's much debate about if they did exist but more debate on when they came about and died off. Military Style was right when talking about Behemoth and Leviathan and how some Bible scholars believed these to be dinosaurs. Again, it's being discussed. Did Job see dinosaurs or hippos? No one knows for sure. By what you're saying, if dinosaurs did exist before humans, why would a human write about it, thus a dinosaur encounter being in the Bible? I know the Bible was written by inspiration of God through man but why would God ask a man to write about something he had never seen? Just my thoughts on the subject.

Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand
Will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You've never failed and You won't start now

So I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Also, don't forget that in the Bible, God made animals on one day and the human on a later day. However, a day to God is not the same as it is for us. For all we know, dinosaurs could have been created, lived for thousands of years with the rest of the creatures, and then were killed off (whether it was flooding or meteors or whatever else) before Adam and Eve were created.

Most Christian scientists believe (based on fossil records and such, you can Google it for the scientific explanation) that the dinosaurs died in Noah's flood. Which, kinda makes sense, since the dinosaurs probably wouldn't have fit on Noah's ark.

Also, the Bible does actually mention one type of dinosaur - The Leviathan. And, it just so happens, the Leviathan is probably one of the few dinosaurs that would survive the flood, since it lives in water in the first place.

But the Bible did say two of every creature. That would have included dinosaurs, wouldn't it? If they were alive at the time, I mean. But from the description given of the ark's size, I don't think it would have been big enough even for baby dinos. It's a mystery that we may just have to wait until Jesus returns to find out.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

I am a daughter of the most high King, God sent his Son to die for me so that I might be saved and join Him in heaven one day to live with Him eternally, I am unworthy and a sinner, but that dosn't matter to God

I wasn't sure about the whole dinosaur thing either. But now that I read Italy Romano's response, I think hers does make sense. The Bible does say that time is different in God's eyes, and it make sense that dinosaurs could be created and killed in one day or in our eyes- thousands of years. Maybe God saw that they could hurt us humans (as some were very large carnivores), and because he loved us, he killed them all. Genesis 1:24 says, " Then God said, 'Let the earth produce every kind of animal each producing offspring of the same kind- livestock, small animals that scurry along the ground and wild animals.' And that is what happened."

Oh guys what I think about the whole bellybutton situation is

What if Adam and Eve weren't created with bellybuttons? I mean since they weren't born from another human then they didn't exactly need one did they? But when Eve had kids that was when they got bellybuttons. I mean there kids would need to be fed in the womb to right?

Welp that just my opinion. Does that even make sense? Well it does to me anyway cx

I'm glad someone sees the logic in my suggestion. xD

And as for nipples and bellybuttons, I agree that Adam and Eve might not have had belly buttons, and that was just something that came along after humans were given birth to as apposed to being made of earth. However, God may have given them belly buttons simply because he knew future humans would have them as well.

Well, what if God's going to kill us off too because we could harm a future species that he likes better?
That's following the exact same logic..not to be rude or anything

It says in the Bible that we were made in his image and that he loves us more than anything. Why would he kill of the people he loves more than anything else to replace them with something else?

And humans were created to take care of the animals, and he knew that we couldn't take care of nor control dinosaurs and so he killed them off to protect his best creations so that the human species could continue to live on when he made them.
