Could you please pray for my friend? He's been battling cancer for years (which has already left him with 1 lung), and now he just found out his cancer spread to his spine.

I'm so worried. I don't want to lose him.

I have a few prayer requests:

My elderly neighbor went to Florida for a wedding, but ended up breaking her hip and now she's stuck in a Florida hospital for who knows how long

My other neighbor has some horrible infections in his legs and he falls because he can't support himself and it's getting really bad

My really good friend's dad has brain cancer and it's getting worse. I don't know any details because she has stopped communicating with anyone outside her family and that worries me. D:

So if y'all could please pray for them it would mean a lot. Thanks :3

Well. I am kind of stuck right now. Me and my mom are in disagreement about the type of music i like. She likes christian music and i like rock music. She doesnt want me to listen to this certain band, my favorite one, and i dont know what to do. I want to tell her how i feel about the situation but i dont want to hurt her and i know it probably would. If i dont tell her, then i will probably have to stop listening to them and i dont know really if i could. If anyone has any advice, please help? Well, you should obey your mother. Their are very good Christian Rock bands you could listen to. You could also tell your mom in a nice away about how you feel about it, but you have to be prepared to obey her. She is your mother.

If that band isn't influencing you to be lead astray from God or His Son, then I see nothing wrong with it. My mom hates The Killers, but has no problem with them being my favourite band. Loving Christian music doesn't automatically make you a strict Christian. In fact, I would bet money that people listen to Christian music just for the lack of cursing. If that band isn't bashing your religion, I don't see anything wrong with it. If you don't know if you couldn't stop listening to such band, confront your mom. I'm sure she and her mother had different tastes in music when she was your age, too. Though, if worst comes to worst, I say you obey your mother.

(From your username I'm guessing Black Veil Brides ^^;) Personally, if my mom told me to stop listening to one of my favorite bands, I wouldn't be too happy. Now, I love my mom and want to obey her but I know that connection with music can be strong. I'd ask your mom why she wants you to stop. Maybe she sees something you don't. I know when I got into a music fad, my mom saw me change. Changes in kids can be a hard thing for parents to deal with. I'd talk to her and I'll also look for some Christian artists with rock tunes. My old pastor actually started a rap/rock group that has Christian stories within super crazy off the wall music you would find at a "young adults" concert. It's pretty awesome but I know it's not your typical "Christian music". BVB also tends to be a little on the dark side which may not really coincide with spiritual growth. I know that I tried to get into it but it's a little too dark and depressing for me when I'm reading about God's light and love. Maybe that's an area you'd want to talk about with your mom C:
