Love this song and a lot of what happens in the song happened to me personally. Love this song so much but man those feels.

I'm glad this is a thread now. I'm very much music oriented, so it's always music that gets my tears going more than anything.

Anyway, the piece "Under the Stars", from The Lion King soundtrack, makes me tear up without fail. Though most every song in the score overwhelms me with emotion, it's Under the Stars' usage of chords and instruments that makes it have a particularly sorrowful feel to it. It almost makes me feel alone, in a way.

My dad is a musician. He wrote a song for my niece. It's a cute song welcoming her to the world... She's only eight months old now, and my dad has cancer, and is probably not long for this world. I started crying while I was holding her the other day, with that song playing on my phone. What if that's the only trace of him she'll ever know? I don't think she could ever understand... When I look at the picture of me as a baby on my great-grandmother's lap, I just see a stranger. I guess it'll be the same for her when she hears that song.
