These are my favorites:
- Versace Eros (smells like a hot man)
- gold Billie eilish perfume (mmmmmm vanilla)
- Sugar berry body mist (has to be the mist not the perfume though. It smells like a beautiful, very sweet woman that's all I can say)
- devotion by dolce and Gabbana (it smells like baby powder in the best way)

I'm a sucker for anything vanilla

i JUST tried out devotion by dolce and gabbana and everyone said it smelt like fruit loops/cereal milk on me LOL but i think it was a really nice scent after the dry down

is the gold one billie's first release? i think that is the one ive worn and i loved it. i had like a mini sample and it lasted a really long time.

i went to try side effects by initio and im absolutely sick to report it was worth the hype, just so expensive. im looking for a nice coffee smell (replica's is okkaayyy) to layer with tom ford lost cherry if anyone has some recs 8-)

I recently discovered the Target brand Fine'ry scents and have really liked them! They have a coffee/patchouli/jasmine scent called Midnight Cafe that dries down on me to a warm, slightly floral coffee smell. I also tried a sample of Akro Awake and it is spot on for a cup of coffee, but is wildly expensive for a full-sized bottle.

I don't own many perfumes but they've always interested me and I love finding new scents especially vanilla. I use to always love Twilight woods from B&BW, I'm not sure if they still make it though as this was like 10 years ago.
My favorites so far are Victoria's Secret Tease, Alien by Thierry Mugler, and One by Calivn Klein for a male (Whenever my partner wears it I can't help but shove his wrist up to my nose because it just smells so good.)

oooh this is a cool forum! has anyone got any suggestions for pear fragrances that aren't just.. really sugary?

i'm so picky i've only just picked up my first perfume (not pear-y...) which is lush's community sultana- i should have gotten a bigger bottle because it's gone already but at least it might convince me i need to get out there and pick something else.

Oh cool, I stumbled upon this topic as I'm slowly going through my fragrances and rediscovering old favorites <3 I'm not a perfume connoisseur by any means though, I mostly lean towards perfumes that smell like something else (food, a bath/body product, something from nature, etc), the more realistic the better, and if you guessed that I like Demeter, you'd be 100% correct :D my current faves are Thunderstorm (to my nose this smells more like petrichor than their Petrichor perfume) and Bonfire (I can't put my finger on what this reminds me of, but it's something I remember from staying at my grandma's as a child).

Other than that, I really like Lush's scents. Some of them straight up smell like their other products and have become comfort scents for that reason (American Cream and Honey, I Washed the Kids). Some don't share a scent with anything in their range iirc, but evoke a certain vibe. Kerbside Violet reminds me of greenery and dust, which reminds me of summers in the concrete jungle I come from, and Lust (inaccurate name imo) smells like flowers right before it rains. Also I wore it to school back in the day and a classmate asked me why I smell like tea.

Also I'm guilty of buying some perfumes just for the bottle, a couple of which are on their way to me as I type :D

I've been using Billie Eilish's perfume ever since it came out. It feels wrong for me to use anything else at this point, lol! I love vanilla though. A friend of mine gifted me Sabrina Carpenter's Sweet Tooth. I like that one a lot too!

A customer of mine gifted me a big bottle of Versace's Bright Crystal. It's super nice! Just so different from what I normally wear, I have yet to find proper occasions for it... ;o;

My partner didn't have a cologne for a while and I gifted him YSL's MYSLF about a year ago. He loves it (and so do I, hehe). It makes me want to get some YSL perfumes for myself :o

-snip-

all of the chat abt billie's perfume makes me so inclined to order samples of no.1 and no. 2 T___T they look so good

also putting some feelers out there for recommendations! one of my favorite scents is tom ford's tobacco vanille and im looking for find maybe a cheaper option? maybe just change things up as a whole LOL i'm not sure yet

i find myself gravitating towards the more tobacco-y / coffee / woody scents; i also am a huge huge fan of sea / ocean smells (i'm talkin like oyster! by poesie) and vanilla scents. i'd love to get some recommendations!! i guess you could say i lean towards the more "masc / neutral" scents as opposed to the more "femme" scents but i'll take recs of any kind<3

EDIT: i'd also love to know if anyone has tried any of the zoologist perfumes? such as this!! i've seen sm about them on tiktok but never any like.. reviews? so i'd love to know if they're worth looking into at all :3

I have a memory of one of the Marc Jacobs Daisy scents from my childhood, back when they would put those perfume sample tear-outs in magazines (anyone else old enough to remember those?). I recall there being two of the other Daisy-related scents on the same ad page, I wanna say they were Daisy Dream (2014 edition - I distinctly remember the blue bottle) and Daisy Eau So Fresh (2011 edition - didn't have the hot pink flowers on the bottle design yet).

Given the release years of the other two scents, I wanna say I'm thinking of the original Daisy from 2007, since the 10th anniversary edition was released in 2017 and I know for a fact it was a yellow bottle shown in the ad and not any of the funky colored ones that had come out in the years between.

Wish I could find a bottle of that original 2007 scent for sale somewhere, as I recall loving how it smelled, even back then. Very light and floral with a hint of fruity-citrus. Almost like springtime in a bottle. (Top notes: violet leaf, blood grapefruit, strawberry / mid notes: violet, gardenia, jasmine / base notes: musk, white wood, vanilla)

Currently I own only one perfume, Coffee Cloud by Good Chemistry (2023 - notes of cedarwood, coffee, and bergamot). I don't use it a ton, as it's very one-note and only lasts about 5 minutes, but it's a nice little pick-me-up scent if you like the smell of coffee. I've got it in the travel size, and likely won't get it again.

I've loved a lot of the fruity Bath & Body Works scents that have come out over the years. Shame that all of their body mists start to smell kinda chemically and metallic after a while, otherwise I'd be wearing those as perfume. Some of my favorites in recent years have been:

    - Ghoul Friend, Halloween 2021 (notes of strawberry, peony, and citrus) - Had this one in the room spray; smelled great for the first 10 or so minutes before it got that chemical-metallic tinge to it. Artificial strawberry, but in a good way.

    - Beautiful Day, 2013 (top notes: apple, pear, blackcurrant / mid notes: peony, chamomile, lily-of-the-valley / base notes: peach, white wood) - Had this one in the body wash all the way until it got discontinued. Miss it a lot, the apple-pear top notes were really bright and refreshing.

    - A Thousand Wishes, 2020 (notes of peony, prosecco, amber, quince, and amaretto) - I liked the original 2014 version of this one too; the new formulation is a bit more... mature-smelling, if that makes sense? Old one was a lot fruitier, the new one has some darker notes. Still use this in the body wash.

    - Iced Raspberry Bellini, 2021 (notes of raspberry, prosecco, and citrus) - I actually have this scent in the body lotion, shame it was discontinued because it smells HEAVENLY.

    - Winter Candy Apple, Christmas 2014 (top notes: candy apple, orange / mid notes: maple, cinnamon, rose, neroli / base notes: musk, moss, orris root) - One of my favorite holiday scents. Smells exactly like sticking your nose in an apple-cinnamon candle; exactly the right amount of artificial. Had this in the body wash.

If anyone knows of any perfumes with similar notes to any of these B&BW scents, please let me know - I'd love to find something in that wheelhouse that doesn't smell like chemicals after 10 minutes!

Hello, I’ve manifested from the shadows to ask if anyone has any scents that are soda or cola-ey? You know, like Coca Cola scent? Or even better cherry cola scent.

you have asked the right people. There is this niche brand I found and got a perfume called crumb couture from and it smells exactly like a crossiant. They also have one that smells like soda.
