Fursuit Thread V2 OPEN (New Poll)

Why are horse fursuits always so scary or uncanny?I understand they’re pretty unconventional and unpopular, but I’ve only found two makers that make nice horse fursuits, one being skypro costumes. Even bigger makers like lemonbrat can’t seem to pull it off. Does anyone else find this to be the case? I’m looking for some nice makers to make a fursona of mine and recommendations would be very helpful <3

So Wad the cat is just about finished! Just gotta finish his other paw! He features a moving jaw, 3d waterproof printed eyes/irises, and magnetic eyelids for 2 other expressions (angry not shown).

I’m now working on my 2.0 version of Disrep. She’s like... 10 different animals, but mostly unicorn griffin for the head. She’ll have the same features + green LEDs in the eyes! Her mouth is lined and I’m waiting on fabric, more foam for carving, and a new glue gun (mine is very old and started smoking a lot hahah) Her horn is being shipped soon, too! He also has 2 tongues. One is long and has a magnet on the other end to connect to spots on his muzzle!

As for cons, I wanted to go to Aquatifur in October as my first con, but I don’t think anyone can predict what will come of that. Even if it opens, I probably won’t go since I’ve heard things might get worse again in flu season.

^I used to only do foam, but I’ve really come far (plus I like the feel of a good CHOMP). I don’t do commissions and that’s probably why. I’ve had way too many bad experiences with people to trust others or myself heh. I also am pretty new in the fandom and have only been active online for ~1 year so that doesn’t help. I’ll definitely post pictures when I finish my bird gal, too! Super happy about her c:

I finished the foam base for my boys suit!! Last year I made a kigu, this year he gets a suit. I’m so happy!

and ideas on how to pick? i wanna pick and make the design but i can't even decide on a fursona cause i change my idea/fursuit 24/7 any suggestions?

i think you should think about which one would make you happiest and/or which one you would connect with most! or maybe you could even make a character thats a hybrid of all three?

I've always thought about making a fursuit of a Chicken Smoothie pet to wear around at conventions, but I've been stuck on what pet it should be if I eventually go through with it. What pet would yall say is the most recognizable as being from CS? I've been thinking the Moonswirl might be a good one.

If I decide to go through with it I'll definitely be sending a help ticket beforehand to make sure it's alright with the admins

The sunback seems to be the unofficial mascot and it’d be fairly easy to replicate.

Come to think of it, finding a good dark brown for the Moonswirl would be quite a challenge. I've been looking at Big Z Fabric's fur and I could totally use Gold and Amber for the Sunback
