..
This isn't how you rolplay!!! >:(
Bad: *walks to door and opens it. He talks to lady at front desk* I've come to see you.
This is how you roleplay! =D
Good:He walked towards the door and slowly opened it. He saw a lady at the front desk, just who he was looking for. Walking towards the desk, he stared straight at the lady. "I've come to see you." He said, his eyes narrowed.
It isn't that hard... I see it all the time...

;A; Shaddap!
I get so self-conscious about my post length/quality.
Although I personally prefer longer posts to shorter ones, I don't think it's really all about post length -- as a roleplayer you should be able to contribute to the story and/or develop your characters, or somehow affect those around you. (It's just that, those factors considered, more 'literate' roleplayers have a lot more to say so...the longer the post becomes xD)
I'm sure you're a fine roleplayer c:
when first i appear i seem mysterious
but when explained i'm nothing serious{ characters · art shop }

This^ I hate that, when something happens and my character goes to the scene and starts talking to whoever then I get ignored. Why? I have no clue.

Oh yes, Nightingale~ is undoubtfully an amazing roleplayer <3
(And you should read her story: it's really interesting and brilliantly written)
But, I sometimes feel like this too, and I don't like losing my motivation for RPing.
Sometimes the fact that I have to use google translate thing because I don't know a certain word in English makes me want to cry. Althoough it doesn't happen very often, it still makes me feel like a total loser at roleplaying. After all, I have been teaching myself English for five years now: I shouldn't have to look up words... /sob/.
Stay positive.

Solfreggio - I just see people with these massive, intensely detailed posts, and mine is like half the size. I mean, I know they're probably older than me and have been roleplaying longer... But it just knocks my confidence and makes me nervous to post in case anyone says, "Sorry your posts are too short so I'm going to have to kick you out."
>.> I have such silly fears.
Kassua - Awwwh, thanks~ But I'm not really, I can improve much more.
( Yay for shameless advertising~ 8D )
But you do brilliant posts for someone who doesn't have English as their first language~ <333 And, I still have to look up some words because I'm stupid and don't know what they mean. :I *coming from someone who wants to be an author/journalist* So don't worry, I think you're amazing at English/roleplaying, and if you hadn't told me I'd have thought it was your first language! <3 C:
