my poetry getting declined from a lit mag that doesn't deserve to have my work published in their magazine ^-^
im actually really confident my writing is too good for this magazine especially based off of feedback from other mags so im not upset at all, im more annoyed that i wasted my money on pathetic "feedback". i made an assumption when i published that since the editor seemed close in age, she would relate and understand the writing. the editor didn't even have enough experience with poetry to know the type of poetry i was writing and then tried to give me feedback based off of that. will never submit anything to that mag again.

I got two jobs yesterday, my photos from a drag show I went to are being shared a lot, I got to meet my idol. Life sucked a lot recently but it is spinning right around and I am finally feeling calm.

I've been jobhunting for a while now, with unfortunately no luck. A friend of mine has a friend who's the manager of her workplace and he passed my number on to her, but she told him that I don't have enough experience to hire. But she did say "they're really pretty though, they'll definitely find somewhere soon," which makes everything okay LOL it was really sweet of her
