i bought a miku sticker recently! i put “WE ❤︎ MIKU” in the note to the seller & the sticker later arrived w/ a handwritten note saying “MIKU NATION!!!!!!” lolol
it’s a trivial thing to remember but it really did make my day cause of how silly it was. the art was really cute too!!!

went to the gas station and some guy asked about my car. what year, how much i got it for, if it's standard, and when i said yes he goes "how many speed?" english wasn't his first language, and i had a great conversation with him. he seemed genuinely interested in it. he wasnt weird (im used to weirdos) , he just liked cars and wanted to know about mine. i drive a car thats not super niche, but you don't see them on the road too often, so when people ask about it, it makes me prettty happy c: i enjoy friendly small talk with strangers especially when it comes to a common interest.

against all odds (apparently), i returned from a week away on holiday and meeting my girlfriend on wednesday. after two cancelled flights and the diabolical cost of rebooking my final chance to get to muna’s concert in time, i finally made it in northern ireland very early in the morning of august 30th. and met my girlfriend. and we got barricade for muna after all that time (my first ever barricade & her first ever concert in general). i don’t even know where to begin — i had the best freaking week of my life. it was originally five days but for once i’m glad for the delays as we managed to get two extra days out of it. the relentless anxiety and paranoia and thinking i’d never made it across the pond were truly worth it — and that isn’t something i’m declaring lightly. i didn’t think i could love her anymore than i already do, but i absolutely do. she means the damn world to me.
i posted about the week to my personal instagram today. so i effectively hard-launched the fact i’m gay with a girlfriend. it’s the same account that a bunch of my old irls from secondary school follow me on. i knew i didn’t want to hide anything from them as i really... well, i hardly speak to any of them anymore, and it’s not anything i’m ashamed of, either. but it was nerve-wracking nonetheless. but i did it! i posted it. and i’m really proud of myself for that.
