I can see spirits. I'm begging you, respond!

I've already PMed this person about another post they made somewhere else, hoping to just have a quiet little word informing them that what they had posted was actually quite offensive... And this happened.

Me: Excuse me, I don't want to sound rude or anything, but this is actually quite offensive. They may not have a 'mental problem'. Many people have seen ghosts and other paranormal stuff, including myself, and I don't have a mental problem. So you are basically implying all people who have seen paranormal stuff have a mental problem, which can offend some people.

Me: But it's not the truth. So are you saying that just because I have seen ghosts etc that I have a mental problem? Because I don't.

Them: Yes it is, and yes you do. See a psychiatrist please. Now if you message me again, your pm will automatically be deleted. So don't message me again.

Me: I do Psychology at school, so I think i'd know if I had a mental problem.

Don't worry featherkat. I too have seen spirits and ghosts, as have many of my friends. With some of the ghosts i've seen, i've found it a bit scary, but also comforting, as I knew they were still with us in a way.

I'm sorry, but I find it very difficult to believe that you are telling the truth. Perhaps if we met face to face I could be convinced (although it would take a lot to convince me), but anybody can make things up on the internet. That is how I feel anyway.

Good. Lots of people I know have seen ghosts, and that sort of thing. There's quite a few possible explanations for them, whether they are real or not, the person doesn't neseccarily have mental problems. There's no need to be offensive.

I've never seen a ghost and I don't know how I'd feel if I did. I can see what you mean about it being comforting though, I think I'd be a little freaked out at first... depending on if they were friendly or not.

Featherkat, I'd honestly have to agree with Fiery Gatoh. Some people on the internet, for example, will claim that they are vampires in the fantastical sense of the word, and go down screaming to defend themselves. I'm not stating here that you're doing something like that, but typing out the actions of this "Dennis" and your apparent reply to him won't help. Of course I wish the best for you, but it seems to me that if I were seeking solace, I'd be a tad more serious.

Diana; If you don't know what you are talking about do NOT say stuff like that. If you haven't experienced something paranormal you have NO possible way to know how it is and then you don't know what you are talking about! I know it's real. I know people who can do paranormal stuff and my mom can sometime hear ghosts, they tell her random but important stuff. Like my little brother is called after a man who lived at our house 100 years ago because he told my mom to call him his name. And one day my mom heard someone say "Watch out on the little one" she thought they meant my youngest little sister so she didn't left her out of sight that day but 5 hours later our dog was killed by a car!

I can only imagine how it would be. I have no paranormal gifts, but I don't think I would want one o.o I would love to see and feel auras though, I've heard they should be pretty... =3

Personally, I think it's possible, but not probable. I'm guessing about half of the people that claimed paranormal experiences on this thread are making it up, because, what are the odds that this many people who can see ghost join the same website, and just happen to find this thread? I'm skeptical. Then again, I'm like that with most things. And, of course, as humans, we tend to veer away from the unknown. So I don't know what to believe at this point. I have no idea where we go when we die, but I'm guessing it's either drifting off into a state of non-being, or perhaps reincarnation... The problem is, no one can know for sure. If you want, you can do me a favor and ask your ghosts what it's like so that can all be cleared up.

And just because someone goes out of the norm doesn't mean they're crazy, it just means that's the way they're labeled. Or "mentally ill", if you prefer. So no, I don't think you're crazy, but I don't really believe you either.

Families can be misunderstanding, since we are technically on a "seperate generation basis". The truth is, most adults and older people don't believe in the paranormal. Whether this is due to the dulling of the extra senses over time (As we all know, most animals that don't use their sense of sight - mostly one's that live in caves, eventually lose their eyes.) hasn't been confirmed yet.

FlamingSnowpaw already knows about Dennis (yes, I call him that. One of his nicknames is Phantom Dennis-he apperantly got his hands on my Angel disks and watched some of the episodes. From then on, he was known as Phantom Dennis). Dennis is this particular spirit that has a crush on me. Weird, right? xD He goes with me to school (and hates one of my friends. Seriously, he was trying to pull her soda can off the table but I scolded him lol). He pulled out a chair for me once right in the middle of class, too. It was so funny to see the looks on everyone's faces.

The actual physical influences of spirits can be either foolish or intelligent. The sad truth is that in this society, many are skeptical on the paranormal so the exposure of the spirit can lead to unhappy events occuring to the human comrade. Dennis may have goodwill and a sense of fun, as many spirits often do, but overdoing it can lead to severe consequences. A good example of this would be the burning of those suspected to be witches or wizards from the middle ages. Unfortunately, most of these people meant no harm, but because of society they were wronged anyways. So thus, I caution you about allowing such actions in public, although whether you heed my warning is up to you. All in all, I actually find your experiences quite interesting and not unlike my own =) And I can also comprehend with other's facial expressions. It must have been seriously amusing

Minimanta: Auras are very serene and quite beautiful to look at ^_^ I would suggest painting them as it brings great joy to watch them flow and change shape. One can be mesmerized for an eternity when observing them. They are really unfathomable mysteries.

Might this Dennis be a poltergeist, then? Poltergeists are storied to achieve vocal words, and their signature characteristics are moving things and following a single person around. =]
As accounts proclaim, most times this type of apparition is invisible.

By the way, there's a show on Animal Planet (I think) called the Haunted, I was wondering if that was all real..?
