anyone know what it means when a perfume says top notes, middle notes and bottom notes?

some notes may smell different on your skin—lactonic notes tend to sour on others & give off spoiled milk. it depends on the perfume, though. some people find linear perfumes easier to wear since the notes listed are what they’ll smell like from start to finish.

on another note (lol) is anyone else interested in overose love is the way she moves? that pyramid feels like a dream come true omg i need a sniff

i just got sticky dates from lush and it's so good. i love gourmand fragrances. it smells like caramel and fresh baked cookies. i also ordered let them eat cake from tokyo milk so i think imma layer those two together depending on how edible the tokyo milk one smells.

i ♡ gourmand fragrances & i’ve been wanting to layer them with green / tea fragrances 🤭 i just tested escapade gourmande yesterday and it was sooo yummy. now i’m on the hunt for a discounted bottle haha

came in expecting candle fragrances bc of my hobby and got thrown off lol
but now i'm kinda thinking? i don't know much about perfume fragrances, but does anyone know of any that might make good candle fragrances too? it's never crossed my mind to try a perfume to fragrance a candle but now i kinda wanna see how that turns out

i'll have to try that one fs, my tokyo milk one is set to deliver today so hopefully it's good. the longevity of sticky dates is also pretty impressive given that it's a body spray and not exactly a perfume. i smelled some other popular lush frags like snow fairy but thought that smelled like gummy bears? and in a weird, artificial way.

why am i just finding out that there's a fragrance thread ?! as a perfume aficionado, i'm elated ! i've tried several perfumes over the years but i've never loved anything more than martinique for women by tommy bahama. i'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fresh aquatic every day fragrance ! on another note, i'm looking to broaden my collection with a fragrance that smells similar to fresh laundry / linen or even something with a nice powdery scent. if anyone has any recommendations, it would be very much appreciated ! :]

my boyfriend and i are both getting into fragrances! we both really love everything from kilian paris- if you like gourmand, they are unfortunately worth the price !! angels share smells exactly like apple pie and it last a WHILE on skin and clothes. it smells great on my boyfriend but a bit strong for me. i’m currently wearing their fragrance ‘love, don’t be shy’ and i really love it so far. this brand is EXPENSIVE but compared to my usual perfume (ysl black opium over red) it does last a really long time. a $50 travel spray from them would easily last a year and i find that worth it! it doesn’t take much, a couple sprays and you are set.

omg y'all i was not expecting this forum to still be getting posts on it like a year and a half later

anyway i finally got a full sized bottle of yum pistachio gelato yay me!!!
in the past few months ive also purchased:

-yog nog and big body sprays by lush

-travel size sprays of vanilla 28 by kayali, afternoon delight by replica, and angels share by kilian

- full size bottle of philosophy fresh cream warm cashmere

all very good amazing scents, but i'm definitely slowing down on purchasing for quite some time lol.

- Versace Eros (smells like a hot man)
- gold Billie eilish perfume (mmmmmm vanilla)
- Sugar berry body mist (has to be the mist not the perfume though. It smells like a beautiful, very sweet woman that's all I can say)
- devotion by dolce and Gabbana (it smells like baby powder in the best way)

I'm a sucker for anything vanilla

i JUST tried out devotion by dolce and gabbana and everyone said it smelt like fruit loops/cereal milk on me LOL but i think it was a really nice scent after the dry down

is the gold one billie's first release? i think that is the one ive worn and i loved it. i had like a mini sample and it lasted a really long time.

i went to try side effects by initio and im absolutely sick to report it was worth the hype, just so expensive. im looking for a nice coffee smell (replica's is okkaayyy) to layer with tom ford lost cherry if anyone has some recs
