I'm mostly a Squishmallow collector, but I also have a few Squishables I really really love! My absolute favorite Squishable is the luna moth. Squishable has a system where they accept fan designs to be made into real plush, and I watched it for probably years after it was selected before it was made into an actual plush! I'm so happy to have it now; I preordered it the instant it was available, and even better it now comes in a mini/keychain version and I carry it around on one of my hand crocheted purses because it really fits the vibe.

Another of my favorite stories is my GIANT Cam the cat Squishmallow. They were released at Kroger stores, and I live in a pretty small town with only one store. I went day after day once I saw people elsewhere in my state posting them, but I couldn't go until after work on weekdays. One day I went in and was ecstatic to see the giant squish box, but when I got closer I saw all the Cams were gone. I even posted in the local chat/Facebook group hoping someone had one they would sell, but no luck. A few weeks later I was on a trip out of state, and on the last day I had some free time and decided to look up their Kroger affiliate on a whim. I went to one store and saw nothing, and figured I had just totally missed their drop, but other luck I had in the area (I had been into a few Walgreens and found them well stocked with Squishmallows) made me try again. There's something weird about going into grocery stores with no intention of buying any groceries, lol, but I found another one, went in, and there he was! I grabbed him up (this is a 24 inch plush, they're HUGE) and carried him in my arms right back to the self-checkout. My out of state Kroger card wasn't working, so a really sweet associate scanned hers and was so excited for me when I told her what was going on with my search. I got him back out to my car and buckled him into the front passenger seat, and he was my buddy the whole 5 hour drive home!

I also ordered a back-ordered strawberry frog Squishamallow from Box Lunch several months ago, and it has said its estimated delivery is next March. A bit of a wild choice, but I really hope it works out and I get her!

@Lacuna, I have a big 24-inch Squishmallow too! It's the big purple octopus, Beula, from Valentine's Day a few years back. I got her for $35 back then, from the Kroger affiliate in my town. Man, it's kinda sad to see how much the prices have increased since then. :c I recently bought Aldron the plague doctor (16-inch) from the same store, and he was $35 after I used my store card for the discount. I've sorta fallen out of collecting Squishmallows, for a few different reasons, but I still get one every so often if it really strikes my fancy.
Lately, I've been trying to stick to smaller plushies, since I reaaaaalllyyyy don't have much space anymore lol. One brand I've gotten into recently is the Aphmau MeeMeows blind box plushies. So far I have five different ones, one from the first series and the rest from the second, and they're so cute! The only cruddy part is that I keep getting the freaking fairy cat. I actually emailed the company about it a couple days ago, because by that point I had four of the dang fairies and I was pretty sad about it. I honestly expected them to just basically say "sorry that sucks, we can't do anything though." But, to my surprise, I got a response from an actual person, who sympathized with me and offered to send me two new ones that I don't already have! I just had to provide proof of the dupes and show them my overall collection, and they'll be sending some new ones out to me soon. ;u;

Yeah, the Squishmallow prices have definitely gone up! Honestly, I don't mind them too much though, for a while they were /sooo/ low that resellers were just snagging everything with no chance for average collectors to pick something up. I just love them so much because they are all so uniform and look good together (I generally avoid the ones that are outside the regular shape or have a lot of printed designs on them because I don't like the texture of the printed fabric). I do also justify my Squishmallow buying because I make a decent amount of residual income off a crochet pattern I developed for Squishmallow nets.

Oooooo! This is right up my alley! I love plushies! I don't collect a specific brand really. I just grab what I like/love. I have many dragons, horses, kitties, doggies and sometimes obscure animals like a kookubura bird. Oh and flamingos.

I'm a thrift store collector and most of my plushies have been rescued from thrift stores! I love buying second hand ones online too.

My most recent adoption is a Wuzzle named Moosel from 1987!! He was a childhood friend I lost along the way and I was so excited to have him come back to me! This one is in near mint condition! Or very very close.

my big thing right now is buildabears! specifically buildabear frogs. i had an extremely traumatic childhood so i turned to stuffed animals as a coping mechanism. they weren’t buildabears but random stuffed cats (i still have them to this day- one being the one i’ve had since birth). anyway, currently i have every single frog besides the rainbow and dark green frogs. i’m getting the zombie (hopefully) and the jolly frog for christmas.

right now i have the green spring frog (mason, who is my first and absolute favorite baby. got him in aug. 2020), second we have maya (pink spring frog), third we have the tie dye frog (sam), fourth we have the small spring frogs (eden and everett), the big green spring frog (ziggy- like ziggy stardust the david bowie song) then we have the slap band one (haven’t named him)

(this doesn’t even include my other frog plushies- i only have them because my oc HATES frogs and i thought it was ironic and now it’s an addiction. but with those we have leo the flipable squishmallow, peepers, peepers 2(?), i have a hanging one, and another frog squishmallow). i used to have a small collection of squishmallows but all they did was rot but i still have my huge octopus from early 2019, an axolotl i haven’t touched, a small yeti, a dino (?), a few others i can’t remember, and my pink bigfoot (stickbug!). stickbug is the ONLY one i keep on bed because i have issues with pressure points and migraines so they provide comfort when laying down. if i’m not using stick bug, i’m using my HUGE ikea bear, Elijah


it’s funny bc i now hate frogs but i genuinely cannot sleep without my spring frog mason. i have attachment issues so bad that when i go to therapy without him, my therapist and the front desk people ask where he is 😭

i also avoid going to stores because i can’t resist not buying stuffed animals. in total, i have over 1,000.

extremely sorry for the excessive over sharing, i just like my stuffies even if i’m too old for them

You're never too old to enjoy plushies, I say! I could be considered "too old" for them too, but they make me happy so I don't care. c': Life's too short to not enjoy fun and silly things.

I only have four plushies because I’m super picky about them. I have a little Stitch Ufufy, an otter wearing a blue hoodie with the Dallas World Aquarium logo on it that I picked up during my visit in 2019, a large Binx wearing Dani’s witch hat, and a Piplup wearing a pumpkin hat and holding a donut with Halloween decorations on it.

i mainly collect the squishmallow cows. i think i have about 40 cows? my favorite is patty hugmee. i also collect the mushrooms and bigfoots! and recently got my boyfriend into the stingrays and sharks. i think total we have probably over 100?

as a little kid i loved plushies as well and have collections of ty plush and 40+ webkinz in a storage box somewhere along with hundreds of random plush. i only display my squishmallows though. <3

I got an ad from KidRobot on Facebook a little while back, and one of the things they advertised was this adorable pumpkin plushie. ;u; I was broke at the time, so I crossed my fingers and hoped it would still be in stock when I had enough to buy it. Thankfully, they were still in stock and I bought one on Monday! c': I'm very excited to get it, but also super impatient as I always am with packages lol.

That is the cutest pumpkin! I love how it comes with extra friends. Very tempting... XD

I took a picture of all my giraffe plushies together! I am missing some. I think they're buried in my closet. ^_^;
