My house is haunted by a ghost I named Ted.
- He likes to make HUGE thud sounds upstairs.
- He likes to play with the kitchen light.
- He sits at the bottom of the stairs at night. (Seen him, it scared me to death)
- You feel his presence in rooms.
- He borrows things and returns them. (Makes me think I loose things)
- You hear sounds of people walking against walls with coats on.
- The dogs stare as if watching something.
- Voices can rarely be heard.
We all have experienced something in our house. I don't think he is dangerous or anything to worry about but it does scare me, probably because I don't understand him. I talk to him sometimes but not often because he scared me.
Sorry for my slow response time on RP's. My new job steals ALL my time. :(

I'm pretty sure that there is a ghost in my house. Although I haven't seen them before, I have felt their presence several times. More than I would have liked, honestly.
The first time that I had ever heard anything to show that there was a ghost was a door slamming shut on my second floor. It was a couple years ago, and I still remember. My mom told me to go look to see what was wrong, so I did. The entire floor was pitch black and every door and window was closed, so I had no idea how there could have been a door slamming.
Another time, happened a couple months ago, actually. It was right before school started and I was in my bed trying to fall asleep. I was close to actually falling asleep, but I remember feeling something get into bed next to me. It scared me so much, so I just stayed where I was. I know something was there because when they had gotten on the bed, the mattress dipped and I had also felt their arms go around me. They were close enough for me to hear shallow breathing. The temperature changed dramatically when they came into the bed. I know that that was not the first time they had come into my room because I have felt a hand patting me on my head before, right before I would fall asleep.
I have seen doors in my house open on there own, and objects move on their own, and also always feel like somebody is in my dining room when I go to go up my staircase. I don't feel like their watching my, but I feel as if there is actually somebody there in that room, and I can feel their presence so immensely.
I don't know if what i have experienced is part of my imagination or was actually real. It felt very real to me, but people never believe me. I believe in ghosts and I always have ^^.

From a philosophical point of view ghosts are more likely than not to exist. Kant discussed the phenomena and nomena worlds that can be described with the rose-tinted glasses analogy; imagine everybody on earth wears rose-tinted glasses. The only person able to take them off is God (you don't need to believe in God at all, that's a whole different argument). Everything you see is rose-tinted, but that isn't how everything actually is, merely how it appears to be to you. This world of things as they appear to be is called the phenomenal world. With me so far? Everything you cannot see is the nomena. Now, for instance, wearing rose-tinted glasses you would never see anything as "white" (won't discuss the argument that colour doesn't exist either because that over complicates things majorly) but that doesn't mean that "white" doesn't exist.
The rose-tinted glasses is used to help explain the phenomenal and nomenal worlds but even using cats as an example would work. Cats are colour blind, but that doesn't mean colour doesn't exist. Why should it be that just because we don't possess the ability to see/interact with ghosts they don't exist?
I believe in the supernatural world but I don't really know how I feel about it. If that even makes sense.
