I just have a weird group of friends. We were made fun of at first for being weird,but not immaturely weird. We started a HUGE argument in school over whether blonds or brunettes were better,blonds won(YAY!). Now we're being accepted and a lot of kids sick of the 'cool" group have joined us in our plot to take over the world,or the school..............

I would lable myself.... The normal one XD Although there is not, if "normal" is not exceptional, then I guess I would be Alpha except not high high alpha, like the low kinda Alpha.. I don't think you'd get what I mean XD

I was homeschooled for most of my childhood, but when I was in public school, I was the loner and the loser. =/ After gaining self-confidence, I became the "Indie Kid," and now that I'm in college and around only smart people ( ), it's alright for me not to fit in.

Basically, indie kids are what the name suggests: independent. Somebody actually decided to make up a stereotype for people who don't fit into any real stereotype. Usually, indie kids tend to be a bit cynical and sarcastic, and avoid anything mainstream (from music to clothes). They're usually pretty artistic. And of course, they love music. Indie music, that is, like Islands, Arcade Fire and Metric. Some people mistake indie kids for emo kids or those people who walk around wearing converse shoes all day. But usually indie kids despise that.

Overall, I like to think that we're downright awesome.

Geek- The Person Who Knows Everything About EVERYTHING Also May Play World Of Warcraft Ofen. They Say Wierd Thing Much To Ofen As Exaple : Nom, Glomp, Noob, And Other Words Used On The Internet.

Nerd- The Nerd The Loser Of The Class. They Are Picked On Constantly And The'll Never Tell.But They Are The Teachers Pet.They Like Reading And Being Proper.

I know, I just can't help feeling insecure about it. I mean, it's kinda like somebody just taking a huge stamp labeled "nerd" or "geek" or "loser", and pounding it against my forehead. (And not just me in particular, I say this for those of you who are also somewhat offended by this stereotyping.) Chicken Smoothie is one of my few places to break away and wipe that stupid label away, but this thread...

Even if the creator of this thread didn't mean to sound offensive, using "teacher's pet" and "loser of the class" to describe a nerd isn't very kind.
