YOUR QUESTION: Give the coordinate of a point that is a distance of the square root of 17 away from the point (0,-5), explain what you did.
Is that the whole question? Because based on just this, your new point could be: the square root of 17, -5. If you add the square root of 17 to zero, it is the distance required!

That's the full question... I honestly don't get it 0-0...

okay, so you are given the point (0,-5) on a graph. [On the graph, it's going to be 5 down from the origin ((0,0)] When something is the square root of 17 (sqrt17) away from this point, it can either be sqrt17 left or right of 0 on the x-axis (the horizontal one). It can also be above or below -5, but then it gets rather messy. The notation would be: sqrt17-5 (above -5) or -sqrt17-5 (below -5). The purpose of this problem is to move it away from the given point.
Does that clear it up? If not, what don't you understand?

TYPE OF QUESTION: Home Arts
YOUR QUESTION:Why is it important to keep the cookies on the baking sheet for at least a minute after taking them out of the oven?
Why is it important to cool the cookies completely before packaging?
We have a new teacher and she didn't even tell us any of it.. and i couldn't find it on any websites. I was getting really frustrated about it when i remembered this topic.

I know some cookies will go soggy if you seal them immediately. As for leaving the cookies on the baking sheet, I think it's mainly just so you don't cook your fingers along with the cookies... I'd like a second opinion on that though.

Normally cookies are quite gooey...I think it is literally so you don't burn yourself as something thats been in a oven at 180c for 20 minutes (or however long, I normally cook brownies) is gonna be super hot!
