You call that terrible? My best mile time was like ten minutes. But good job, 6:40 is an awesome time.

Our track starts in the spring, and I can't wait for it. Anybody else have seasons in the spring?

I have track in the spring! Track is all I do. If its not track season, I'm training myself for track season. I only have one more year of summer left though, but after this summer, I will be coaching pole vault. I love pole vault!

Cool! Pole vaulting just sounds so epic! I'd be scared to try it though, I'm not a fan of heights, or flying through the air on a stick. I did see people practicing it though, and it looks fun. If you do it right....

Our varsity just flew to Stanford for a race...I'm so nervous! Never been to this course before. We get to have a tour of Stanford and just hang out today, but tomorrow is when the anxiety begins...D:

Is this the Stanford Invitational Golf course? We were supposed to run there but the coach changed the meet schedule so we couldn't go :( But good luck!

It is the most fun thing I have ever done! But you can't be scared to do it. Cause if your scared, you won't do as well. I have has some really scary instances but I can't let it scare me. It's funny though because when I was little I would be terrified when my dad would lift me up as high as he could. But now, I'm pole vaulting. Weird. :lol:

Yup! Finally putting golf courses to good use xD but I have shin splints now. My shin was burning the entire race so I didn't run as well as I could have.
Probably not going to Mt. Sac this year- I have a piano recital that day.

hello, bonjour
please call me believe

herro der mes amis, i am believe. proud canadian, ottb loving, colt breaking, nfr dreaming. pictured on the left is my racetrack reject, landofmakebelieve, aka molly, moo, shmoo, whatever name comes to mind x] molly is a 10 year old canadian bred thoroughbred mare, and standing at about 16.2hh, we look a little wonky when we chase cans, but la dee da that's alright. molly and i tried several disciplines. i tried desperately to get her to catch on to dressage, but unfortunately, she still has the race bred mind and is all go. however, together we found a discipline which we could both enjoy; western gaming. this summer we started travelling to barrel races locally. our current record on a standard size pattern is 17.314 and we are improving with every run. and to all the low budget barrel racers out there such as myself, a word of advise; chin up darling. you may not have a million dollar mount under your butt, but you and your crossbred, rejected, hard headed, rescue baby can do it. you know why? cause those girls sitting in their custom circle y's, upon shiny, top of the line mounts are full of themselves. they think there's no way they can lose. they get cocky. stay humble, believe in yourself, in your horse, and most importantly ride your little heart out.

    Hi guys <3

    I'm planning on doing track in the spring and cross country (I guess cross country is also called xc?) next year, as I didn't sign up this year because I only thought of doing track. I'm a way better short-distance runner than long distance, but I'm sure I could do it if I put my mind to it.

    Sports through the school didn't start until my current grade for some reason; the grades below it aren't included. I'm in middle school, if that's okay to say. In elementary, they had a field day at the very end of the year and one of the most talked-about events was the 50 meter dash, and I won it every single year with a large lead from anyone else the majority of the time. But running long distance (like half a mile or more) is a lot different for me and I'm not nearly as good at it. But I want to be.

    I feel odd jumping in on this thread; most of you have been doing track/cross country for a while and know a ton ;~;
