The feeling of fixating on something when the fanbase is total chaos... yeah, I get you hard. Went through a crazy Mouthwashing hyperfixation when the game came out and it lowkey messed with my mental health cause the fandom is just... Never trust the wider fandom of a game with nuanced characters & complex themes. Great fanart going on tho. Wishing you many sane Cry of Fearers to discuss.

Haven't truly hyperfixated on anything for a hot few months now and honestly life is pretty beautiful this way. My head is so clear man.

YEAHi feel the same way abt cof the way i do abt mouthwahsing i think . i think these games respectively deserve communities which can discuss the games withoutbeiong weird abt them but unfortunately with deeper topics like these thatgdsjust Not going to happen sniffle .

love cof to death because of its depiction of mdd + ptsd + anxiety but the people who enjoy it Do not know how handlke it and it makes me . really sad. because how it portrays mdd is (while far more extreme) incredibly accurate itsd just . very jarring for people who Dont Understand it Fundamentally because it doesnt sugarcoat Anything . main character either gets treated rlly awfully and mischaracterized or super infantilized and it makes m e frownyt a little because im just like . dude . please be So serious and kind rn .

it just feels really weird because its like If youre treating a fictional character with this disorder like this publically how do you think the people around you who might quietly struggle with it feel if they see what youre saying 😭 idk im CVrazy abt cof sorry abt the insane ramble

anyway, here i go to do it again and this time i will actually infodump a bit
i think he (spamton) is a rly cool character from a character design standpoint. especially with sans and papyrus also being characters toby has made i at one point thought that toby was like, a professional character designer. maybe he is im not sure. but there's a reason why spamton and so many other characters toby has made are so memorable and well likes, because they're good characters with good writing and characterization but ALSO because all that's already there is further exemplified by their design giving you a good idea of who the character is before even learning anything about them. there's also the fact that spamtons character design is really funny to me because its just so absurd once you really think about it. it doesn't feel like he should be real, he looks and feels like a weird cryptid but no, he's a real character in a real game that you can play. im pretty sure this dumpster gremlin has made me feel almost if not every human emotion out there that there is to feel too, that's impressive especially for a character named spamton who a lot of people would likely write off as a weird joke character. ive already typed out this entire paragraph and this is only a fraction of the reason why i like spamton so much, im not kidding, i could go on for hours. one day im gonna be that person who made the 2 hour long character dissection on turbo from wreck it ralph, that will be me one day, but with spamton.
