Not too many things annoy me, but today has reminded me of of something that certainly does annoy me.
Meaningless pranks!
That's right, pranks annoy me more then anything thing. And you probably saw this coming, I absolutely hate April Fools Day, and I can't see why anyone would enjoy it.

What good is a day dedicated to raising peoples blood pressure, putting strain on their nerves, and quite possibly hurting the feelings of others? Just so someone can get a laugh for ten seconds?

I can't tell you all the mean pranks that I had to suffer through when April Fools Day rolled around while I was growing up. How many April Fools days I wound up in tears just because someone found it funny to play pranks on me. So I refuse to play pranks on anyone just because "it's the spirit of the day", it's just mean and uncalled for.
I personally want to kick who ever created this ridiculous holiday in the pants. ¬-¬

I feel much the same about it - harmless little pranks can be fun sometimes, but ones where people, say, promise to give you something you really want, like a pony, and later say "April Fool's!", or they outright lie about something fairly dramatic like a death in the family, and especially 'practical jokes' that could get people injured, those ones really get on my nerves. I have to admit that I'll sometimes play small pranks on people, like telling them deadpan that Margaret Atwood is my cousin (they fall for it every time, too), but never anything hurtful or about anything important. I'm always glad when April Fool's day is over and I can stop second-guessing everything everyone says.

I also miss the Nick rats. 3: They were so sweet - I was hoping they'd stay.

I'm annoyed because the pets all changed back. I was really excited to see the new linearts growing.
I guess that's for the better though. If I see one more, "WAH! I like Tess so much better, Nick is a terrible artist! " comment I probably would've punched a hole through the screen.

I just pretty much stayed silent all of today because I was afraid that I'd fall for something stupid. I never have any idea if people are being truthful or not, and that drives me crazy.

Homophobes.

My friend and I played a prank on pretty much everyone we know, by changing our Facebook statuses to "In a Relationship" with each other. The catch being that we're both biologically female. This was done both to make an obvious point, and to make fun of our own ridiculously close friendship.

You'd be amazed how easily people show their true colors. Both of us put up with all kinds of remarks and freaking out before we finally broke the news that it was April Fool's day. It was honestly really eye-opening, and, even as a transgender individual myself, I now have bucketfulls of respect for gays and lesbians.

Anyway, both an annoyance, and, I feel, an incredibly insightful experience. Stepping into someone else's shoes, so to speak.

When I started hoarding the adorable little Nick ratties and they suddenly changed back to the originals. I really loved the Nick rats and I wish they would come back again! I even left one of the rats in my Nick group named, "In memory of the cutest Nick ratties ever" I miss the awesomely epic ratties already! [/endrant]

I never said Nick was a terrible artist, I said I just didn't like his art ;P I honestly do think that the rats were kinda cute, though. It reminded me of the way I used to draw mice XD

Anyway, the ghost/poison gym in Pokemon Silver/Soulsilver is annoying me right now. I accidentally removed one of the dark moves on my pokemon and now I'm having to completely rely on the move 'Bite' on my water pokemon Totodile x-x Plus, the puzzle is just flat out frustrating XD

And yes, I am a computer nerd, have no life, and am completely obsessed with pokemon, the computer, and manga thanks for noticing.

Stereotypes.

Our robotics team has three middle-eastern people on it. Two brothers and their father. I do not know what nationality, but they are something middle-eastern. They wear turbans (which they color-coordinate for our team colors on contest day! ) and have eastern names and accents. They're really cool people. I've gotten to know them. They're great with robots, and some of our best people for fundraising, and hard workers. In addition to just being really cool, fun people.

My parents and grandparents think they're gonna kill us all in our sleep.

I know what you mean =.= one of my High school friends was like that. He was such a happy fun person, but my parents refused to let him into the house for our group movie nights
