I always feel bad when people talk/type/write/or communicate with me in a different language and I cant understand them.
Even with all our technology we can seem to over come this problem successfully (the ones online aren't always right and end up making this worse) >.<
this annoys me (im not good at learning other languages >.<)

I feel you, Coy Cutiee.

I've had someone send a trade in Polish. One other time, I've had someone PM me in German because they apparently figured out that I'm German from certain forum posts saying so. Just because I'm German, doesn't mean that I speak it. xD; Although I am learning the language, but only know a couple words here and there. X3

Also, when I went to school (now homeschooled), I got nicknamed "Twilight" after the book. >.> And yet I despise everything about Twilight. I was also nicknamed "Kitty cat" by a group of people, but I didn't mind that. I mean, my online name is CallyKat, so how could kitty cat annoy me? XD

Yeah. What really gets on my nerves are the new DS models. The DSlite..really? You're going to make the DS SMALLER? They even came out with the DSlite XL. Not only is the name contradicting, it makes no sense. Why didn't they just make a larger DS in the first place?

I read like 5 pages of one of the books... It's really boring...

I forced myself to read it to see why every girl in school liked it XD And I always talk about what I hate about it, too, just to mess with my friends.

I have the odd problem of people contacting me in a different language. And they suck at it.

It's pretty much no secret what language I study since I whine about having to take a certain class for my major, I'm a Japanese student. Been learning since middle school. I'm not the best, but I try. There's a difference between "trying and making mistakes" and "being a stupid weeaboo completely inept at the language because everything you learned about Japanese you learned from Inuyasha." Guess who I got PMing me once?

And I get people asking me "omg sugoiii teach me japanese." No! I barely have enough time to learn from professional Japanese teachers from the actual country, what makes you think I'll teach you anything?

By the way, just a short message even though I ranted about this before.

Dear International Board,

Don't offer to teach Japanese if you never learned the language formally yourself. Saying you took a class for one year doesn't count, you should have more to a language education to teach it. And I swear to God if you say "I never took a class but I learned from anime!" I will kanji you to an oblivion.

Love,
Wendigo.

I learned small words from anime, but I'm not about to use them in a conversation XD I really want to learn Japanese though. I should really go to the library and check a book on it out...

Well said, Wendigo. I've seen someone in real life someone offering to teach German, and yet they know just as much as me. -.- Which is pretty pitiful since I only know a couple words here and there, maybe a sentence or two, but very short. xD And the person said that they've been learning the language for years, I couldn't even get one word from them because of their poor pronunciation. xD (I wasn't going to learn from them, I just asked how much they knew)

I've tried using google translate, but it doesn't always work so well when they don't speak their own language very well. (neither do Americans though...)

It annoys me deeply when my mom tells me that I "like to pee on her post toasties" every time my reactions are less than enthusiastic.

I didn't get it either for a looong time! But apparently I "pee" on these without even knowing it, a cereal brand that went extinct probably 50 years ago. My mother is not of Generation X!
