This is driving me crazy. I have been wanting to debate about this all day!

Food processing. Disgusting, to me, but maybe not to you. I got all sorts of crud to load on you. >:)

Food processing. Hm. I dunno. In general, I think its kind of gross. Not gross enough to keep me from eating, say, processed cheese, but gross enough to make me think "Ok, I don't even want to know what those chicken mcnuggets looked like before they made them all presentable." And then go "If I don't want to see it, then I probably shouldn't eat it..." ._.

Of course, I don't really know much about food processing....And I have a funny feeling you're going to do your best to change that...

Did you know they cut the beaks and claws off of chickens so they can't walk and get fat?
Well they do.

Did you know that they push around a cow with a tractor, poking it, until it falls down and can't get up and just let it die there to slaughter it?
Well they do.

Did you know that they feed cows dead cows and chickens dead chickens?
Well they do and they call it cheap feed.

Did you know that chickens and turkeys never see the sun once they reach the dome house thing?
Well they don't.

Did you know that they cut the pigs tails off because when they are in tight houses, they bite eachothers tails?

I got all day!

Oh yes, and buy local meat. Depending on where you live.

I was talking about this to my mom yesterday and she was disgusted.

I am not just disgusted with what they do to our food, like feed the animals steriods and make them cannibals, but more of how they treat them.

Unless you have a field out back that can feed you and your family all year, food -needs- to be processed or it decays and becomes inedible within a few hours for meats, day or two for most vegetables.

This isn't exactly what I mean y processed food. I mean what they do to the food before it reaches the dinner table. What they feed the animals, what they do to them. Just ask, I can tell you. You will be surprised. (Ger darn B key being all sticky!)

First of all, I don't really see the problem with feeding animals their own kind. Maybe it's just me being weird again. Oh, and the pig tail thing.
And two, you're kind of saying it like that applies to everyone. And I'd really like to see a few trustful links before I start caring what's in my food.

It is sickening. I would shoot myself in the face or hang myself before I did that to an animal. It is too hard for me to give up meat. If you want to get some REAL fresh meat, buy locally whenever possible. My mom asked my Aunt Karen, who own a little Corner Market, if she knew anyone with a slaughter house. She gave us some info on that and we are buying meat from them this spring, when they being slaughtering the cown and pigs and stuff. Eating meat is how God made us, but me must not agree with what we are doing with the poor creatures now.
