Christians on CS!

Hey guys, if you all could pray for me. I am incredibly stressed as I'm taking a bunch of tests this time of year. My schedule is hectic and this past week I tried to relax but it just made the work pile up. I'm basically very overwhelmed and I really could use some prayer. Thanks you guys<3 I'll be keeping you all in prayer as well

Can you please not pray that others convert to your religion? We find it incredibly offensive when someone does against our will, and I also don't think praying that someone converts is allowed on CS, if I recall the discussions on the religion thread correctly. It may be here on this thread, but please. I just wanted to say, if someone is not of your religion and doesnt want to be, maybe you should spend some happy time with them instead of constantly trying to convert them and making their last hours filled with discussions they dont want to have. Try to see it from their point of view. What if you lay there, dying, and someone kept wanting to tell you about their religion and their hell? That you could only be saved if you believed in their god, otherwise you'd burn forever. Is that something you'd like to hear throughout your last days? Or would you rather have some happy last days, filled with love?
I don't mean to tell you what you have to do, but please understand that it can be offensive to us when someone prays against our will.
Also, sorry for popping in here like this, I really am.

I see what you mean. If you want one of your friends to convert, instead of constantly pestering them about it, you should show them God's love through being a good friend and being there for them, and if you really feel like you need to talk to them about it, do it in a non accusing and caring way.

I have an inspiring peronal tory that you guys might like to hear. About two years ago, my moms best friend, Amy Krueger, we called her "Kruegs", was murdered in the shooting of Fort Hood. About four years before that, at my parent wedding, she came up to me and held her hand out and asked me to dance. I was nine, and there was cake on the other side of the room so of course, i got embarassed and said no. Little did i know she was going to be one of thirteen victims of a horrible terrorist attack 4 years later. I regret that night every time i think about her, every time i think about how every weekend my mom had her friends over and i got to see Amy, and now she is gone. About a month ago i stumbled apon her personal facebook page in my suggedted friends section, so i wanted to send her a message. I sent her a long message saying im sorry and the first thing i will do is dace with her when i get to heaven. About a week later i saw it had a little checkmark by the message saying she saw it. I couldnt belive it, so i emailed FB tech support and they said her account has been unactive for about two years...

Excuse me, but I see that others can pray to whom they want to and what they want it to be about. If I want to pray to my God and His Son about my suicidal Uncle so that he may go to the place I believe is Heaven, then I may if I want. You cannot tell us otherwise. I don't care if you don't want to be prayed over. They can do as they wish. As you are not speaking of pestering in any way, I believe I have a right to say this. This actually offends me greatly considering my rights to religion. So I think the feeling of offense is mutual.

I agree with you. We have the rights to pray for who ever and whatever we want, it's just that pestering is what I have a problem with, I just wanted to clarify that.

Exactly right, our prayers are for the purpose of well-being, there has never been a problem with it before and you shouldnt start one.

well, it's been awhile since I posted! Happy Mother's day everyone. I would like to ask for a prayer for my parents. I don't think my mom feels very loved on mother's day. I have a hard time expressing my feelings sometimes, so it's hard to tell her how much I really appreciate her. My dad has made mother's day worse for her, because he's mad at her and hasn't done anything special for her. Sadly, this happens many mothers days at my house :c anyway, can you please pray that my Mom feels loved and my Dad can let go of his anger? I don't even know the real reason he is mad, but he's been acting like someone peed in his Cheerios :p God Bless!

I think it would be a better idea to tell your mother you love her and give her a big hug. You can't pray for an action based on free will for yourself. That's not how prayer works. Have you tried asking your father what is wrong? Perhaps giving him a hug too? What you could do is offer to make them both dinner so they could chill out and relax the rest of the day.

I am praying a prayer of protection around any individual who has prayers that go against their free will. I am praying a prayer to protect and nullify negative requests by well meaning individuals. I am praying that conversion requests sent by those individuals get reversed and increased ten-fold into realization requests that open the eyes of the individuals of the senders to increase the happiness of others around them and to increase the individuals want to aid and protect others.
As such I end this prayer with the crossing of two arms as a mark that my energy will go forth and do these deeds.
