What is Your Current Job? (Or volunteer position)

mine probably isn't as interesting as everyone else's lol, but i'm working at taco bell right now. full time currently because of summer break, but i'll probably change to night shift during the semester (that'll be so much fun....) for some reason, taco bell is the busiest restaurant in the whole town (being that it's opened the latest, probably) so everyday is sooo stressful tbh. but the days go by pretty quickly, and we get paid a lil over minimum wage, so i can't complain much. this is only my second job (my first was at a little pet store that sadly went out of business during the end of 2019) so i'm not super experienced, so this has been a real experience for
me.

i've been on the fence about what to major in, but my 3 top picks right now are video game design, fashion design, or some sort of biology (i'm super interested in reptiles/amphibians, not sure if there's a specific study for that.) i'm having such a hard time deciding because everything sounds so fun and interesting. i just wanna try everything!

I struggle a lot too with picking a major! All of those fields sound really cool. I almost worked at Taco Bell too lol

Right now I work as a technician for a contact lens manufacturing company. Long hours, but I get lots of days off and tons of benefits to compensate. It is just a stopgap for me though, while I finish my portfolio. I graduated with a bachelor's in graphic design, but COVID muddled the market right after I got my diploma, which was a bummer.

I'm also doing the artwork for an indie video game some acquaintances of mine are developing.

i'm a graduate student studying animal science; specifically food borne pathogens and microbiology. basically, i'm still a student in class but i also teach and do research. my summers are spent presenting my research to scary adults and acting like i know what i'm doing ;u; my hope is to earn my PhD in animal science and continue my work in zoonotic/public health. i'd love to complete a post-doc for the NIH (or university) studying the effects of microbes on cervical cancer c:

I'm currently working full-time as a gardener.
But I'm also helping out in a store during the weekends when I have time.

And during the rest of my spare time I'm editing the final touches in the book I have had to push the publishing date forward several times, though I've just about finished it now.
