Maybe she doesn't know that you want to be the mascot, and maybe she's not doing it to be mean to you. Try talking to her about it, or you could train as hard as you can so you can become the mascot since you really want to, y'know, instead of blaming it on your friend you could do something about it? (also, that wasn't meant to sound mean)
