If I knew how to sew (well, anyways xD) I would make myself a tail and a pair of ears, but I'm really bad at stuff like that. X3 I plan on getting a collar. Haha, that's as close to a fursuit as I'll get, probably. xD

There's a tutorial for yarn tails on the first post. They're really simple and don't really involve sewing - you just have to attach some stuff.

The one concern I have with a fursuit gallery (and the constant 24/7 fursuit talk) is that it gives the newbies and young furs the impression that fursuits are a massive part of being a furry and if you don't have one, you're not a furry/uncool/what have you.

In reality, only a small fraction of the fandom does fursuiting. Mostly because it's so expensive (500-2500 dollars is not chump change), it's exhausting, not everyone is healthy enough to pull it off (I had to take mine off after a while.) and quality makers are few and far in-between and charge you out the ass.

Not saying "STOP TALKING ABOUT FURSUITS U GAIZ" but it is a little misleading to new or young members.

I have a fake fur tail that my grandma made me one Halloween. <3 It's pretty crappy (The tip of the tail looks mutated along with the starting point) and I wish it was better but it's better than nothing. I used to have some fake fur arm bracelets but I don't know where I put them.
I can't find any good examples of what the fur is like but it looks kind of like this
