Ok, here's my very un-expert advise:
It TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY DEPENDS.
If he'd be your first boyfriend, then make sure that he's definitely the right guy for you, and that you think you'd last. Because I've found that your 'firsts' are really disappointing unless you get them perfectly right; if you're under the age of like, 14, usually it'll end sooner than you'd hope, and you'll regret it later. I know from personal experience.
If you've already had a boyfriend, then go for it! Flirt a LOT, and, strange as it sounds, you may wanna try telling him that you have feelings for him. It's been proven that people like people a lot more if they find that you're interested in them.
Hope this helps!

OK wait hold on never mind I didn't see your last post!!! That guy is cahrazy!!!! You can't share a freaking boyfriend! I mean, he can like your friend all he likes, but he can date you and only you, and he'd probably realize you're the one for him, right?
And also, if this all happened through text, you may wanna rethink that. I've had MAJOR issues with texting too many things to guys. And also, try to remember that everything you send him he could be fowarding to his friends for all you know. I mean, I don't think he'd do that, but sometimes people get mad and it blows up in your face because you did everything in technology. Like I said, I know from experience.
Ti Amo!

Personally, I don't think you should go after him anymore. He said that he likes your friend, and he wanted to be 'shared'?!?!? I think he's a little selfish. It is a bad idea to go out with someone who likes someone else. If your friend (im not saying this will happen) asks him out and he says yes, you will be in a love triangle and that sucks. I know from personal experience that you don't want to be caught in one of those. At some point he is going to have to choose between you and your friend and you might not like the outcome. I think it would be best if you let him do his own thing, and when he comes to his senses and he doesn't want to be 'shared' with your friend, tell him you still like him and let him decide if he wants to go out with you or not. I hope this advice helps, and good luck:) Hopefully things will work out.

My Opinion...
LOSE THAT GUY HE'S UP TO NO GOOD, asking to share

the nerve

what a jerk.
Would he like it if you did that to him and had 2 boyfriends, I DON'T THINK SO!
Find a guy who only wants to date you and really likes just you.
Wasting time on guys that act like jerks will only end in heartbreak and anger.
Bottom line... Hes not worth it and you can do so much better than him.

If he want's to be shared he obviousness doesn't respect either of you. From the sounds of it he sounds like the type of guy that would cheat on you with your best friend behind your back.... YOU are better than that. Their are alot of other guys out their that you just haven't met yet that would never say that to you. It's hard when you like a guy alot and he turns out to be an idiot but move on and you'll find happiness.
