I've never seen a ghost in my house, but my mum has, apparently.
I had a grandmother who died, and just last week mum said that she saw Yaya (that's grandma in Greek, I had to call her that because she was actually Greek herself) standing in the hallway, just, looking at her.
As I said, I've never seen a ghost
in my house. But I have seen one in Tasmania, where the convicts were kept in the prison. I went on a ghost tour there, and we had a tour guide, who has experienced many odd happenings herself. There's lots of stories, I might tell some, but I'll get to my point.
The second most haunted house in the world is in the Convict Prison in T.A.S. And I was fortunate enough to get there.

The...Chapel's house, I think, is located on the outskirts of the Prison. This is what the guide said:
"He was a man of big build, and was incredibly tall. Most people see him standing next to this fireplace (which was in the room where we were standing in, and at that moment, I think we all felt a little cold), and he is also spotted outside that window and in his rocking chair." I knew that I probably wouldn't see any ghosts in this tour. But was I in for a surprise!
The guide had answered all of the questions, and began to lead the tour outside. I decided to look around the room, and turned to the window where the man sometimes would be peering into. Well, he was. I saw him; a man that was quite large, wearing glasses, and very tall. He gasped, and grabbed mum's arm before following her out of the room. I asked the tour guide if the man wore reading glasses, and she nodded. I was shocked, but felt happy at the same time.
(Another story.)
There is a cell in the main prison, number 3, which is said to be haunted. Well at first, I thought it was nothing. The guide said about some hauntings in the main halls and the rooms and things, but what really caught my ear was cell number 3, which was my favourite number. XD Anyway, the guide led the group out, and went down the hall that cell number 3 was in.
The convicts, if you aren't informed, wore white sheets over their heads and little eye holes so no one would recognise each other. When we walked past cell number 3, I looked in, and saw a man walk straight past the door of the cell, wearing a white sheet and two little eye holes. I screamed, well, yelped, and jumped back, the tour guide turned her head and asked me what was wrong, and I told her that I saw the man in cell number 3. She laughed, because most people see a ghost there, and we continued the tour.
I saw two ghosts that night, and have believed in them ever since. Some of these posts that people are making sounds fake to me, and I'm beginning to become skeptical, but I believe in ghosts after that experience, and have been interested in them ever since. My ghost information books have increased their numbers from 2 to 6 as I got older, and I think I'm well and truly informed. X)
