The whole "No talking about self harm or suicide" rule is being taken to the extreme. I understand that the topic cannot flood the forums, but there should be a way for those who are struggling to reach out and get help on this website. And don't tell me that it should be kept to PM. You can't just go and PM random people, telling them about your stories. I understand that this is a 13+ website, but are you really going to delete people's cries for help? Deleting a post containing those topics just isolates the sufferer even more. CS could potentially be their last hope, and you're just going to delete it? I posted a response that could've seriously helped someone and you're just going to delete it?
I feel like a good solution to this is a thread where people who are in need of help concerning suicide or self harm can post, requesting someone to talk to. Absolutely no stories or details would be posted on the forum. It would just be a place for people to ask for help with those things without clogging the forum. I thought the Comfort Corner would offer help, but apparently that's against the rules, too.
Sorry, I was really frustrated that people in serious need of help just had their posts deleted and probably got a board warning as well. Meanwhile, people curse or spam all the time and no one takes notice.
