I guess I could use some advice. XD

Last year I liked this boy, let's call him Q, who I hate now. The only time I talk to him is when I'm making fun of him. He now has a girlfriend, let's call her Z, who hates me. This is probably because I'm first chair cello, and she's only second. Also because I made it into symphany orchestra, and she didn't. Anyways, we have the solo and ensamble contest coming up soon, and we found out our groups today. The four best people in our orchestra were put in a quartet. I got the cello position, and Q got the first violin position. Z got extremely mad when she found out, and is now determined to make my life a living hell. I think she's worried that Q will like me again, but I can guarantee that that won't happen. Is there anything I can say to her to get her to stop antagonizing me?

If you know him well and are friends with him, you can try asking him out. Don't ask him in public, though, that way he doesn't feel pressured and neither of you say anything you regret. If you're friends, and he does say no then he won't (or shouldn't) be mean about it and, though things might be awkward for a bit, they'll go back to normal.

If you don't know him very well, and you're really scared, you can try asking him to hang out with you and a group of friends, then move on to you two hanging out and then one of you could actually ask the other out. Or you could just ask him, again not in public.

And there isn't a way to tell if he likes you for sure unless he actually says he does. It'd be really nice if there was a way, though...

Well, it sounds as if you need to tell her off. Tell her "He hates me, and even if he liked me, I hate him!" And if she makes fun of you or tries to threaten you say "*Laugh like crazy* Your so funny! *Laugh* Have fun with that!"
