The whole hunting thing. I DO support hunting,as long as it's for controlling the population. But I don't support illegal hunting,or hunting for sport. Here is why:
Let's say the deer in one small forest are extremely overpopulated. They kept reproducing and eating the grass. The grass has no time to regrow,and the deer quickly go hungry. They will get sick,starve,and die a slow painful death. Some will have to move somewhere else for a new food supply. This is another reason why animals are moving into suburban and city areas. Also,the other animals that eat the grass would die or have to move too. Now,hunting controls all of this,as long as it's in moderation. Yes,it's sad. But it's essential so they don't die a more painful death.

Except hunting for population control really doesn't work that well.

The reason why prey animals get overpopulated is because of two reasons. One, people purposefully feed wild deer and elk to prevent starvation and INCREASE their population; this creates an overpopulation problem and gives something for hunters to actually hunt. Two, natural predators like wolves, bears and mountain lions (or what have you) are hunted; without as many predators, prey populations explode. So between people hunting predators to reduce competition and purposefully helping the prey animals to reproduce, humans are creating the problem and then using overpopulation as an excuse to hunt.

And really, starvation and slow, painful deaths are part of nature. It needs to be allowed to happen, for the sake of the animals. Hunters tend to pick off the bigger deer with larger antlers; this goes against how nature works. In nature, the sicker, weaker animals are the ones that tend to get picked off sooner. While it's sad that animals die of starvation, that is how it should be. Nature controlled animal population BEFORE humans got here, and will continue to do so after humans have gone extinct.

It's not that I don't approve of hunting. If you want to go out and hunt your own food... Whatever. But don't feed the damn prey animals, and reintroduce predator animals. Those are two simple ways of cutting down prey animal populations without pulling a single trigger and ensuring that the stronger animals will survive.

Wishlist Donation Corp/ Wishlist Something Agency We donated pets to help cut our wishlists down and fill up hoards...but a few players started fighting because one player took it over without the others permission D: So We were locked... Miss it though.. I was talking to old members and we all want it back The players who owned them don't come on really anymore or are active so I think it would've been great... But I contacted a mod and the answer was no ;'(
