i have this interest in synthesia;
mainly because of the Secret Series >< and Benjamin Blake
rad.

I don't have synesthesia but there are certain things that smell green to me.

I'm not 100% sure if I have synesthesia or not. I associate letters and numbers with colors and I think I imagine sounds for movement sometimes? The only example of the sounds for movement thing I can think of right now is that ortzadar's gif forum avatar reminds me of the sound of windchimes.

for my entire life i've associated numbers with genders, personalities, and colors
and i associate words, names and letters with colors and random stuff. i thought
this was something everyone did but learned about 2 years ago that it isnt.
i love telling people what color their name is or just saying stuff like "3 is a
male and hes really lazy" just to freak people out, haha. synesthesia can be
annoying but its honestly so fun. (also synesthesia is a light yellow for me,
for some reason i associate the word with electricity and lighting)

this question might be impossible to answer, but do you thinks animals could have forms of synesthesia?

I wouldn't think it's impossible for a animal to have a syn our brains are more complicated so there is more opportunities for crossed wires. Our thoughts and means in which we precieve is also distinctively different. So it would limit the type of synesthesia that could possibly devolop. With a more limited means of communication it would be difficult to identify. A member of the ape family that speaks sign would have the best chance of being diagnosed and even then I would think it would be difficult to have the diagnosis accepted by the scientific community.

This however is only my opinion. I bear no degrees that would give my hypothesis firm grounding.
