YOUR QUESTION: we're working with the qudratic formula and graphing, so we need to find the zeroes. i can't figure out how to find the zeroes
the formula is 3x² - 6x + 2 = 0
i know how to start
6 ± √(-6)² - 4 (3) (2)
------------------------------
2 (3)
I can get to
6 ± 2 √3
-------------
6
But I can’t figure out how to find the zeroes, which are (1.6, 0) and (.42, 0)

You got it right! That's the alkane formula.
Alkene is CnH2n, and alkine is CnH2n-2
