The only real problem I've had with Asperger's (well NLD, but no one seems to have a clue of what that is) is explaining it to people. Their first response tends to be "Oh so you're retareded?" and it gets kind of annoying. Correct me if i'm wrong, but neither NLD, Asperger's, or Autism fall under the category of retarded do they? Calling people that really isn't very nice, even if they actually are.
People who pretend to have things like that need to get stuck in a hole and die. How having a mental disease of any kind is cool I'll really never know. Though actually I really don't know what is considered cool, but you get my point. Depression and OCD especially, as people seem to always enjoy diagnosing themselves with that. Because you're suddenly a doctor now?
Wow Atwood, they're really attached to thier chairs. Graduation day is going to be heart breaking for them.

Sorry but.... -facepalm-
Actually Wendingo I think this applies to me as well?I'm sorry but could you rephrase? I think I get the gist of what you're saying, but I want to totally understand.
Happy Spring!

When people say everyone hates them... Yes, the entire world hates you and wants to make you suffer, even people who have never met you once in their life...
When I'm still exhausted a week after exams because I've been unable to sleep-in and thus catch up on my sleep. >_>
Being forced to partner with someone you're not really friends with on a project just because you're the only person nice enough too...

AGREED.
"The whole of CS hates me boohoo." I mean, seriously? Sensitive much? Toughen up, people, no one hates you. >.<
And you know what? After someone says something like that to me, I actually
do start hating them. Well not 'hate' persay but it certainly ticks me off.

Asperger's is actually often associated with higher IQ (but abysmal social intelligence) - I read a study somewhere that found almost every member of Mensa they tested was an Aspie. This might be part of why it's such a popular self-diagnosis; my chair-thief friend once asked me if it was contagious while looking very hopeful. XD Autism is variable but usually has normal or low IQ with some having savant abilities in very specific areas, and I think NLD and PDD-NOS tend to have normal IQ. A lot of mental disorders suffer from misunderstanding by the general public - there was a great mental health awareness ad about schizophrenia I saw on TV once, which I unfortunately can't find online anywhere. It showed a guy telling his two friends that he had schizophrenia, with subtitles repeating what he said, but when the friends responded to him the subtitles said what they were actually thinking (e.g. when they said "is there anything we can do to help?", the subtitles said "stay away from our children", "you mean you're crazy?", that sort of thing). At the end of the ad, the voice-over said something to the effect of "not everyone with schizophrenia has a split personality, but some of their friends do".
Li-La - at least you'll get to talk to him a lot (or yell at him, depending on how the debating goes XD). ^^ His dad being there is pretty awkward though.

Actually, I'd just be like "um...er, duhh....Hi?". Lol, they also both know that I have a crush on him, so awkward indeed...

She owes me £20 in credit, so she can work off 1p off it, c:
Since debating is my field though, once a good argument starts, I'll forget all about him and start debating. I missed out an oppotunity to get to the Finals of a local debate, and I won't let a crush make it slip again. I also did alot of research on what makes a good debate, studying both sides of an argument etc, etc...

omg! YES! My sister does that all the time and it ticks me off. I don't organize them by author's name but they do have some significance to where they are placed...
