Windows 10, my GOAT. this computer is a decade old, nd my dad used it before me (and he pirates stuff 24-7. he never cleared out the pc all the way), so theres who-knows-what in these files and this computer still runs like a champ o3o.

In terms of visuals, Windows Vista has gotta be like my favorite OS. i still pray every night ill find someone giving away a computer with Windows Vista on it XD! !!!

A laptop at my church has Windows XP on it and im in the process of begging my moms best friend (who works at the church) to hand it over. im not sure she will but i really want it >w<. windows xp is cool..!!!

and if ur wondering how i found the laptop , im apart of a co op at said church and im there a lot, even on non-co op days bc my mom is always helping set up for stuff there.. so i have all the time in the world to open cabinets that im not really supposed to open and stuff

Windows. I have Win11, but ngl I play on my switch and my Android phone alot more than my computer lmao

It appears I have found this thread after it died down (of course), but regardless,

I've been using Linux Mint Cinnamon (there are different types!) since like January and I am NEVER touching a Windows computer again unless I really have to. It was a really easy switch and just in the seven months I've been using it, I've learned a LOT. Since it runs on Ubuntu there are a lot of resources out there if you need help.

What I have to add to the other replies from Linux users who have posted is that I've been introduced to so many FREE, open-source alternatives to otherwise proprietary software. Linux Mint literally comes out of the box with a whole entire set of Office software (and other goodies). Open-source also tends to be more private and secure (when you get it from the right places!). If you do use a lot of specialized software that requires Windows, you can always dual-boot (have both Linux and Windows and choose which one when you start your computer) or use a virtual machine (for most things).

The only thing that bothers me any right now with Linux is that there's basically zero compatibility for games with anti-cheat (including Roblox, which you also can't run on a virtual machine). But otherwise, if you use Steam, it has a built-in compatibility layer (Proton) so you can run some pretty popular Windows titles on Linux!

I could literally go on for hours and hours about how much I love Mint and open-source software...
