I absolutely LOVE talking about my fashion styles, tehe
There are multiple, so bare with me for a moment.
1: Scene kid. My natural hair is very long and my uncle, who was a MySpace queen in his hayday, gave me the classic hairstyle. My knee high converse and studded belts are staples in every outfit I put together. I have tons of the early 00's monster band shirts lol. If you're looking into getting this style, my personal brands of choice are things like Cupcake Cult, old Tripp NYC, and brands that were popular in the 00's-10's like Justice and Affliction. It's also totally possible to DIY your clothes, like cutting your fave post-hardcore band tees to make them off the shoulder and adding cute neon details to tights or jeans :> (While scene is more about the fashion than the music, totally look into bands to listen to while you lay out your outfits!!)
2. Sweet lolita. Total 180 from my normal everyday wear. I've adored j-fashion since I was little, and sweet lolita is the substyle that's kept my heart all this time. If you're unaware of what lolita is, here is a brief explanation taken from the lolita fashion wiki:
Lolita (γγͺγ£γΏ) is a Japanese fashion inspired primarily by the clothing and general aesthetics of the Rococo and victorian periods. This fashion movement started in Japan in the 1980's and has evolved greatly since. Nowadays Lolita fashion has grown to be relatively popular all over the world. Relatively popular for an obscure Japanese fashion, that is.
I highly recommend you do your own research into the fashion, as it is very vast, but it's a stunning fashion and I'm very happy to own a number of brand pieces! My favorite brands are Angelic Pretty and Baby, The Stars Shine Bright. My current faves in my wardrobe have to be my
pink milky planet jumperskirt and
sugar bouquet one piece dress! I also own quite a few indie brand dresses and blouses! Feel free to message me to talk about the fashion, I ADORE talking about it!
3. Kawaiikei. I would say it follows yumekawa standards, since yume-kawaii isn't a sole fashion and more of a description for styles, shows, food, etc. that are very dream-like and pastel. This is what I wear when I want something more casual than sweet lolita, but more pastel and cutesy than my usual scene queen getup. I own a lot of Mezzo Piano clothing, as well as tons of clothes from Sanrio or kawaii fashion brands like Emily Temple Cute and Nile Perch. I have a lot of accessories from Mezzo Piano, Sanrio, and Mother Garden as well! I'm hoping to DIY some of my less than mint condition my little pony toys into cute hairclips and necklaces soon, hehe.
I ADORE collecting, so I've spent many many years collecting, making, and searching for many of the pieces of my wardrobe. My fashion styles mean a great deal to me, so I jump at any chance I get to talk about it! If anyone at all is interested in talking with me more in depth, my messages are always open! If there were room to post my flat-lays (pictures of your outfits on your bed/carpet without your face or anything) I totally would, lolz. My expertise lies in many j-fashion substyles and scenemo fashion, so I'd love to hear about your own fashion journeys or wardrobes regarding those styles especially!
