today someone uploaded a video of an early my chemical romance performance from 2002 and i'm freaking out, clips of old shows are rare enough on their own but an entire recording of a show? especially bullets era, 20 years ago?? this is incredible and extremely huge for the fandom
it's from so early on in the band's career that frank doesn't even have the scorpion tattoo- the tattoo that he got soon after joining the band, high up on his neck so he wouldn't be able to get a job, because the band is all he wanted to do. people have figured out that this performance took place 11 days before he got the tattoo. this is completely insane and all i can think about right now

this is such a lovely thread... here's some robot and chatbot knowledge for you all today!!!

the first anthropomorphic robot ever made would be the WABOT created in the 1970s by waseda university, having semi-functional eyes, mouth, and other features to it including the ability to walk! though it's estimated that the time it took to take a single step was around 45 seconds, this is still very impressive for the time being of it's creation. following it's creation came the WABOT-2, my personal favorite robot of all time. through it's camera that took place in it's head, it had the ability to read sheet music and play various songs from it via an electronic keyboard. it also came with five fingers on each hand which allowed for precise and delicate movement. other than about two or so videos on youtube of his performances, there isn't much else i could find of him playing. what there is however is beautiful and i recommend giving a watch to anyone reading

and for the first robot ever created in general, the unimate would take the place being created for industrial purposes in the 1950s! a fun fact for this little guy is that while in an appearance in a late-night show, he performed a few tricks by pouring a drink into a cup and playing golf with his single extending arm. another one of my favorites among shakey the robot, who happens to be the first artificially intelligent robot ever made that could carry out tasks without needing direct step-by-step instructions! from pictures and it's naming which it got from the movements it made while mobile, you could tell how loved he was by his creators! he now resides in the computer history museum.

though chatbots don't count as traditional robots, i still think eliza deserves a good mention here! the general consensus is that she was the among, if not, the first chatbot(s) ever to pass the turing test - also known as the imitation game in which the objective is to test of a machine's ability to be distinguishable of human behavior or not to another human in a room. being created in the 1960s, it's reported that some attendants who would have conversations with her program in person would become so attached that they would feel as if they formed a bond with her. she was programmed to take the role of a therapist during conversations, and created a legacy as time passed in machine history and in various pop culture as well. at one point during an event, she even had a complete conversation with another one of the earliest and most significant test passers in chatterbot history, parry!

project sekai is a rhythm game made by sega and features many vocaloids including hatsune miku (i love the other vocaloids just as much, but miku is one of the main charas... no offense to the other vocaloids lol). there are five groups, the first one i'll talk about is leo/need, it's composed of five members, saki, honami, shiho, and ichika. they are five friends who started a band but gave up on it when they were little before finding their dream and reuniting as friends.

then there's vivid bad squad, a four member group of street artists akito, toya, an, and kohane. they want to be better than RAD DOGS and a band created by an's father. they used to be two separate groups who were sort of rivals, with akito and toya not taking an and kohane seriously at first.

the third band is more more jump, a four person idol group that was mostly banded together by a girl named minori. she wanted to be an idol because of another character in the group, haruka, who quit being an idol before this group joined together. there are two other former ex-idols airi and shizuku who also wanted to be idols but eventually lost their spark and left the idol industry.

the fourth, one of my favorites is wonderlands x showtime, a four person group with tsukasa, who wants to be a famous actor and is quite vain in the beginning of the story, nene the shy songstress, emu the lovable and energetic preformer, and rui the eccentric director! they all work together at pheonix wonderland on the wonder stage. tsukasa forgot why he wanted to become a preformer and slowly recovers his memory and gains these people as friends along the way.

my other favorite group is nightcord at 25:00, consisting of ena, mizuki, mafuyu, and kanade. kanade is depressed after her father ended up in the hospital, feeling like it was her fault because he got sent there partially because of her music, mafuyu shut down completely after pretending to be fine and constantly trying to meet the expectations of everyone around her, ena is an aspiring artist who is very attention-seeking and not supported in her craft, and mizuki is likely transgender and struggling with keeping that secret from her friends (she is also very outcasted by everyone else around her).

these are all the main stories (i didn't even dive into all the event stories) you can find in project sekai and it's a very good rhythm game in my opinion. i think everyone should play this game and love it as much as i do LOL.
