Wow, sounds somewhat like a bit of a pickle! How do you get on just teaching yourself? I used to take lessons when I was way younger (albeit on acoustic) but stopped and when I happen to pick mine back up I just teach myself..
(Mid-way through learning the Maine riff, when I say I can't play that at ANY coherent speed LOL...)
What is it that you hate about 1on1? I don't know if I'm just pointing out the obvious, but would it not be the same online?? Good luck finding someone though, that's super cool that you got that new electric guitar!
Also how on earth is one meant to get good at bar chords. Seriously.

I got a Billie Joe Armstrong Gibson les paul junior with the epiphone amp for Christmas and I’ve never had electric guitar only an acoustic guitar I’ve had since last Christmas but I don’t play it much. I’m confused with my electric. The guitar plugged in sounds kinda acoustic to me and when I do the little setting where it sounds super shrill, it’s a bit too much. It doesn’t sound like in songs I listen to for some reason and I don’t know why or if that’s just me. Im still very happy with it though
