Yeah, the G4's (the new hard plastic funky looking ones) are what turned me off of collecting. Hasbro really went a bad direction when they change their original design. The G3's (The softer vinyl version before the G4's) looked great, and that's what I sought after. But then they went to the 'original 8' set (The same series...6 earthies, 1 unicorn and 1 pegasus) that they released over, and over, and over again with slight variations...yeah, they killed the magic. I no longer collect. I won't buy the same pony over and again, and I certainly won't buy the funky looking horses they call MLP's. Sorry, just not my bag.

I never even collected the g3s. Im an 80s kid, always loved the originals best.
