I have a "How to Sketch Animals" book and a "How to Draw Cats" book. The cat book is pretty much useless; it doesn't guide you through each step at all. The sketching one is alright, I suppose. It has an entire section explaining cat eyes. I can't seem to get it right, though.

I personally don't like the books that guide you through each steps... but I guess it's personal.
Id your cat is too small and on't sit still, try google some images instead? it's easier to learn basic anatomy from pictures x)

eh idk... I have two learn-to-draw books myself. How to draw animals by Jack Hamm, and The art of animal drawing - construction, action analysis, cariacture by Ken Hultgren, and I found them very useful when I felt I needed to learn. They talk a lot about basic animal anatomy, as well as the differences between a few common species... they focus a little on different things but I still think they're good... if.. you feel like checking them out xD
