Hi! Your reading is done and will be posted below! Before I begin, I want to say as I do with everyone that you always have control over yourself and your choices. Nothing is ever set in stone, and you always have the power to change your fate. I do apologize if anything in here is inaccurate as well! I am not an Apollo devotee, though I do ask his guidance a lot, but we did try our best to give you a clear and concise reading! It seems as though he had a different message for you instead of solely about dreams, but if you're comfortable, I do dream readings as well and would love to do one for you if you wanted to share what your dreams have been about. That being said, let's get into your reading!
For your present self, I drew the reversed King of Swords. This card placement in the spread is meant to represent you in this current moment, like a quick snapshot into who you are and where you are at this time. The King of Swords is a bit of a tricky man, seated on a throne just like his Queen, though he wears a bit of a calmer expression. However, even though he appears calmer, he can be just as brutal - or even more brutal - than his Queen when it comes to making decisions. He is always fair and just, but swords rule the realm of actions and logic, so he is also very rational, and he will always make the most rational and fair decision, regardless of whether or not it causes pain or harm. He can also be very stubborn, and he likes to think he’s always right. But no one can be right all the time, not even him. For you, he appeared reversed. This usually means that the King of Swords’ stubbornness may have verged into the rigid and opinionated realm. Since this card appeared in your present self placement, it seems as though maybe there’s something in your life that you’re holding firm on, perhaps to the detriment of others, or to your own detriment. I wouldn’t know what this thing is, only you can know that, but it seems as though it may be having a bit more of a negative effect than you were hoping for. Perhaps you believe you are being fair and rational, but maybe you’re not being as fair and rational as you think. It’s possible you might just be being brutal.
The next card in the spread is your crossing card. This card represents something that is either helping you and pushing you forward, or hindering you and acting as an obstacle to you. It’s called the crossing card, because this is considered what’s “crossing” you, so the card is laid across the card that represents your present self. For you, I pulled the reversed Three of Pentacles. The traditional Three of Pentacles card portrays three people from different backgrounds and skill sets coming together to work on a project. They all need each other, and the project cannot be completed without all three of their contributions. For my tarot deck, the artwork for the Three of Pentacles depicts a ship sailing on the water, because every member of the crew is needed to sail the ship, and no one is more important than another. Each person has their job, and each of those jobs need to be done in harmony with everyone else, not independently of everyone else. For you, this card appeared upside down, which means that maybe you might be working alone right now. It seems as though you might be refusing help from the people offering it to you, which may be creating some sort of disharmony. It may even be causing you to feel lonely right now.
The next card in the spread is your past card. This card represents something that may have happened to you recently, or that you might have just recently come out of. Your past card was drawn as the reversed Knight of Cups. The Knight of Cups is usually depicted as a stately young man in my tarot deck. He is holding two cups, one in each hand, which could symbolize him taking on more emotionally than he is actually capable of handling. He is much more poised and much less chaotic than someone like the Knight of Swords. However, for you, he appeared reversed, which tells me that maybe you or someone you knew could have been lacking some discipline in life somewhere. This card showing up reversed can indicate drinking or partying too much, but that does not have to be literal. It can also indicate being manipulative. Perhaps either you or someone in your life was a bit manipulative to someone, and it’s still having an effect on current situations and feelings.
The next card in the spread is your future card. This card represents things that may be coming for you soon, not necessarily in the distant future. For your future card, I pulled The World, upright. The illustration on this card is a completed map, showing that this portion of a journey you may have been going on has been finished, and it’s time to move on to another map. It seems as though the ending of a major chapter is approaching, and when it ends, you may feel a sense of success, closure, and fulfillment. You can then look back on this chapter of your life with total knowledge of the situation, and make decisions for the future based on that.
The next card in the spread represents your conscious. These are things that you may be consciously aware of about yourself or your situation. They can even be things that you are actively focused on right now. For your conscious card, I pulled the upright Ace of Cups. The suit of Cups is symbolic of our emotions and emotional connections. The upright Ace of Cups represents new relationships and emotional beginnings. For this to show up here tells me that maybe right now you’re focused on starting a new relationship. That could be with someone else, or with yourself. If it’s with someone else, it could be romantic, platonic, or even familial. However, it seems like this is taking up a lot of your focus right now, the search for something new.
The next card in the spread is your unconscious card. This card represents things that you might not be consciously aware of right now, but that might still be subconsciously affecting you. Your unconscious card was pulled as the reversed Four of Swords. The artwork for the Four of Swords in my tarot deck depicts a man in a boat, sitting on the water. He appears as though he’s contemplating his life. Three swords sit above his head, and one sits in the water below as he looks at it, symbolizing that there are still things he may need to consider, and he may not be ready for action just yet. He is taking a stagnant period where he is choosing to consider his actions much more carefully before he acts. This card appeared reversed for you, which tells me that maybe you might think you are ready for something, but it’s possible that deep down, you are not ready. In fact, it seems much more likely that you’re more eager to be ready because you might be afraid of what happens if you’re not ready. Perhaps you’re exhausted from waiting for action, and maybe you’re being hasty. This could even be in reference to your conscious card, where you seem like you’re focusing on being ready for some sort of new relationship and starting new. However, this card seems to be telling you that you may not be as ready as you think, and maybe you’re trying to find something new because you’re afraid of what lies with what you already have. Apollo is the god of music, and my husband is an Apollo devotee. As I was pulling these cards, he sent me the song Break the Pattern by Ryutqc. This felt significant to me, as it felt as though Apollo was speaking to me, especially since I asked for his guidance before beginning the spread. Seeing as you are also a devotee of Apollo, I believe this message may have been meant for you. I would recommend listening to the song if you can.
The next card in the spread is your influence card. This card represents your own beliefs about yourself, and how they may be affecting you and your current situation, or maybe even others. These thoughts may or may not be accurate, but you might truly believe them, which is affecting how you interact with things. Your influence card was pulled as the reversed Seven of Wands. The Seven of Wands typically represents sticking to your ideas no matter what. The artwork depicts a man looking through a telescope and sticking to that, even though the people behind him are trying to get his attention. He does not care about their opinions on where he should go or what he should do. All he wants to do is focus on his own ideas and move forward with those. However, your card appeared reversed, which tells me that perhaps you are pushing too hard on the things you believe, and maybe you might be aware of that. Maybe you’re not. It’s hard to say for sure, but what I do know is that you might be missing some key factors in the beliefs you are trying so hard to stick to. I would encourage you to re-evaluate what you’ve been driving after, and see if maybe there are some things you’ve overlooked. It never hurts to take a second look at something.
The next card in the spread represents your external influences. These are things that may be affecting you or your situation that you have no control over. Unfortunately, you cannot control or change what others are doing, thinking, feeling, or saying. You can only control yourself and how you react to those things. Your external influences seem to be represented by the reversed Five of Wands. Traditionally and upright, the Five of Wands represents no one being able to see from each other’s point of view or compromise. We see five hands, each of them holding a telescope, and each of them pointing that telescope in completely different directions. They all have their own ideas of where to go, and what to do, and it seems impossible that they will ever compromise. However, for you, this card appeared reversed. This tells me that the people around you may be looking to resolve what may be going on right now. They may be looking for peace, or even compromise. It’s possible that they’re either sorry or willing to accept an apology, and they just want to make things right and make amends. It might do you good to at least hear them out if you’re able to.
The next card in the spread represents your hopes and fears. This is pretty self explanatory. It’s basically just what you might be hoping for, or what you might be afraid of. For your hopes and fears, I pulled the reversed Five of Cups. This tells me that maybe you’re hoping for closure and forgiveness, or you’re hoping to forgive someone else. Maybe you’re even hoping for healing. In the illustration on the card, though the cups are in the clouds, they are pouring water down over a sailing ship to symbolize a storm. However, the two remaining cups sit underneath the ship, collecting the rain to be used again for whatever the people on the ship need it for. This may be bad weather, but you can always make lemons out of lemonade. This card showing up reversed tells me that maybe the lemonade is already being made. Maybe you’re hoping that you or someone else can move past what happened. It’s possible that this same thought might also scare you. Maybe you want forgiveness or to forgive, but you’re afraid of what that might look like. Maybe you’re even afraid it will bring more harm than good in the long run. However, I encourage you to at least try. The spread is telling me that this may not be the time for breaking ties and moving on to someone new. This may be the time to try and focus on and fix what you currently have now.
The final card in the spread is your outcome card. This card basically represents what may or may not happen once this entire situation is over with. Your outcome has been pulled as The Emperor, upright. The Emperor is the Empress’ mate, her other half. They make two halves of the same coin of the universe. Where she represents water, the fluidity of emotions, and the feminine side of the universe, he represents land, the stability and consistency of material possessions, and the masculine side of the world. He is depicted as a sea captain in my deck, brutish, confident, determined, and focused. He has only one material thing on his mind, and that is abundance and treasure. Of course, he cannot find his treasure without sailing the seas and yielding to the emotional strength of the ocean, the Empress. The sea cannot exist without touching the land, and the land is always with the sea, wherever she goes. He is the sea floor that sits beneath her and upholds her, the steadiness of the ground, and she is the waves reaching up onto his shore, the push and pull of emotions. When I was pulling this card, I suddenly got the song Bulletproof Heart stuck in my head. I don’t know if anything has happened between you and someone else in your life, but it seems as though the cards and Apollo are trying to say it might be time to give that relationship another try, whatever that relationship may have looked like. Just always remember that yin cannot exist without yang, dark without light, day without night. You cannot fight every war or battle alone. In fact, you shouldn’t fight any of them alone, because you cannot win alone. I have faith in you, and so does Apollo! You got this!
