Selfship Discussion!

Welcome, selfshippers of CS!
Now, you may be asking: what is selfshipping? Well, it's just that! Shipping yourself with fictional characters.
This topic may also be used for discussion of OC x Canon, which is shipping a fictional character with an OC that isn't necessarily a self insert.
People may selfship for a number of reasons, such as coping or just for fun!

Terminology
F/O - Fictional Other. A character you selfship with romantically, platonically, or familally.
F/O List - A list of f/os. Some people have multiple!
Polyship - A ship that includes multiple f/os.
S/I - Self Insert. A fictional version of yourself in a certain media.
Sharing - 2 people having the same f/o. Some people may be OK with this, some people may not be.

I honestly think that self shipping gets a lot of hate for literally no reason. I think people just think its cringe, and they project that on to everyone else. But I honestly think it's so fun!

I am really into the Undertale fandom and its AUs. Like, really REALLY obsessed with all of it. Although I usually prefer to ship characters with eachother, I often find myself self shipping with the characters. I honestly think it's really fun! And it isn't always romantic either, I love imagining my fursona (aka the furry version of myself) having platonic and familial connections with the various different characters I'm interested in. Sometimes I even write little stories about it.
It is nice to see that there is a thread that opens the discussion to self shipping in a more positive light than what I usually see!
