Dec 18th Rant Thread

I totally understand. I’m absolutely grateful as well that this exists as an event, dont get me wrong here. I’m just also super dissatisfied myself. I know that the staff and stuff put their heart into these designs. I also think the event overall is quite lovely. But I myself, also lucked out unfortunately.. I ended up getting a bunny, a pony and a dog no one wants. I was hoping for a cat this year or something. This was also my first year doing this too, as it seems all the other years I’ve been playing I just haven’t been around near Christmas. Hoping next year will be better. Best wishes to y’all.

I have a dragon collection and the new ur dragon would be my newest ultimate dreamie to have. Im missing still a few dragons but ive got quite a lot. Ive been trying to trade so much pets for it now and everyone is saying: lowballing. Even though im offering 3+ non…

i completely understand the frustration, but the demand will die down and i bet you’ll be able to get the UR without being expected to trade more than what it’s worth(: no recent URs are worth 3+ non, so i really don’t see the dragon being worth that much

I know there’s a thread for this but I’ll likely just get buried alive in there lmao. How much would you say the new URs are actually worth? I’m considering attempting to trade for one but no clue what to offer

I agree with this, I was so excited for Dec 18th but ngl I was kinda disappointed, I ended up with a rare rat and a bunny (yeah, not even a very rare rat T-T) I did get a VR malk horse but now I have to wait and find out if I get the adult variant I want, it was even worse when I got one of the freaking new URs's off-site 😭 I think it would be better if pets such as rats weren't in the prize pool during Dec 18th, and maybe make it so all the boxes have a chance of an OMGSR

All boxes do have a chance to give OMGSR because ive seen people get 3 new URs in their 3 boxes. Those are always omgsr

As someome who joined not even 2 months ago, I had my close friend hype this day up a lot because of the chance of really nice pets, and lets just say for the hype I was given I’m disappointed as well… Yes, I’m grateful for the chance of ANY rare+ pet, but the pets I personally got weren’t that good it seems. I got two rare’s and a pet with all VR outcomes. I was hoping for something I enjoyed, but like someone above, I ALSO got a bunny, dog, and horse no one will probably want, and personally… Not too excited for any of the ones I got.

december 18th has been god awful since they changed how they distribute the pets, soft capping everyone with their "new" gift boxes that contain objectively worse pets, its a miracle if your VR is worth anything at all, most times its just a 2009-2011 random pet that has little to no value, at least with the older dec 18th boxes you'd get multiple chances of VRs, but ever since it was changed its been awful

and yet the purpose of the re release was apparently meant to be to HELP circulate the more older hard to get pets in the first place....yet thats not happening because even with the boxes their still hard to even get to circulate them on the site or through trades more xD
instead all its doing is causing stress with players a frenzy over those who have new URS to brag and demand everything possible in payment for it that users dont have and its giving people low demands which no one wanted to trade for anyway

honestly? the most a recent UR is going for is 2 non (UR cinnabun) so i can’t expect any of these to be worth more than 2-2.5 non. it’s worth waiting for the demand to settle!

I'd like to use this thread to post a warning to players as it's quite common and annoying on december 18th.
There are a bunch of players who use this day as an opportunity to scam newer players out of valuable pets, so if you have a pet you are unsure about DO NOT ACCEPT ANY TRADES, POST THE TRADE ON IS THIS A FAIR TRADE THREAD and post the pet on the thread where you can identify the worth and name of the pet.

I've already seen one player (I can't name them due to chicken smoothie rules) ninjaing players out of pets like a desert swirl pps and a moonswirl omgsr dog.
PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT TRADES STRAIGHT AWAY, ASK FOR HELP WITH THE WORTH.

Sorry but we don't allow rant topics on CS as they become harbors of negativity. I know it can be frustrating and upsetting getting pets you don't want from December 18th, but there's no need to rant about it on the forums.
