difficultly starting (rant?? ig??)

i've had an account on chicken smoothie for about 10 months, but didn't really start getting into it until probably late june (i was off and on) and it just feels like impossible to actually get things that that are good. like since i didn't know about chicken smoothie in 2008 i probably won't ever be able to get good pets that aren't from like 2018 up. i know it's kinda early to think like this but it kinda feels like there's no point in trying to get things that i want. i don't understand a lot of terminology or rarity stuff and it seems like a lot of
players are really mean to people when they don't know that a trade is unfair (i've experienced a lot of toxicity anyways) and i just wish it felt like i could actually get some of the things that are older without either paying real money, trading away my entire inventory, or spending years to get a better inventory (which by then the pets i like would be even harder to obtain so i'm like back at square one.) idk. this isn't the devs fault and i have encountered a LOT of kind players on here i just wish it felt more obtainable to get certain things

I feel the exact same!!! This site isn't very friendly to newer players. Iv met some really nice people who are very helpful but of course iv met some not so nice people too. I feel like the only way to grow my collection is by getting people's extra pets they are giving out, and even then they are usually pets nobody but me would want and I can't trade them for anything because everybody already has them! And the only way I have successfully gotten rares is via the pound or giveaways (have yet to win a giveaway), but if I rely on that it will be years before I have good stuff to trade with! It's exhausting!

I feel like I spend all my time scavenging instead of actually trading cuz nobody wants to trade a noob 🤣🤣🤣

Ive come across both helpful and unhelpful things on this site so far, but i agree its very hard for new people, i often feel like a vulture haunting the freebies/pounds etc.
Its also hard to get past pets because of the sheer expensive prices that only keep rising to the point where you may as well spend irl money to get to where you want with them.
Some people dont even trade regardless of the amount of times its posted about wanting trades, those very same people have WL pets in those groups that are for sale.
Ive met a few nicer people who have willingly gifted some staff pets and such [current collection] which was actually very helpful but at the moment its getting hard to finish those off at all.
The terms are very confusing i dont understand what MA or anythin like that even is..? i wish for the day where it becomes simpler with written words instead of shortened words that make no sense.

Hello! I understand where you're coming from, I also felt the same when I started playing this game. Events are superrrr good if you want to start getting higher value pets, as you'll have many opportunities to earn rare pets from events. Also, December is coming up, and every year on December 18, CS has an event where you get 3 random pets that have already been released, and their rarities vary from rare-OMG so rare. Some people are lucky and get super in-demand pets from years ago! I was one of these people and was able to trade it in for a dreamie I thought I'd never get the chance to own. Slowly over time you will curate a good collection of pets (: Don't give up, you'll work your way up in due time !!
