I haven't personally bought any figures (parents are not supportive of that hobby :,( ) but I have done lots of research and know of a few places you can check out! I'm currently looking things up for you so I may come back and add in some info as I look
Mandarake- second hand
- can have some really good deals
- apparently has become expensive after new EU VAT regulations with custom fees but I don't know anything about that so you may want to check that out on your own
- Screens for bootlegs and does a very good job of it. Rarely has bootlegs appear. Good to check and make sure before you buy, though, as it is a second hand store.
- good place to get older figures
- exaggerate damage on figures
AmiAmi- mostly cheap, but can get expensive with shipping
- more limited stuff since they do collabs
- high quality standard
- rarely arrives damaged
- Sells used and preowned
Goodsmile International- more expensive
- Shipping rates are pricey
- Exclusive bonuses for ordering through them
- Limit of 3 of the same item per person
- Very good customer service
Jfigure- Small local shop in Tokyo
- Very good customer support
- Sells used and preowned
- Affordable
- Very good packaging
- Can ask them to search for an item they don't have listed on their shop and they will try to find it for you. Works with the price range you give them.
Yorokonde- EU based
- Understaffed so a bit slow
- Secure packaging
- Great customer service
- Good for figures, not for other types of merch.
- "Pay later" option for preorders
HobbySearch- Don't get charged for a preorder until it ships out
- Poor packaging
- Does not carry exclusives
- Great customer support
- Good point system
[PROXY SERVICE]
FromJapan- communication is good, but a little slow
- sniping option available for auctions
- limited on auctions since not all sellers are willing to use proxies
- Check out the
service fees before you buy!
[PROXY SERVICE]
Buyee- sniping option available for auctions
- ignores seller's intention on proxies (more available to bid on)
- Offers coupons
-
Service fees can be hefty (use the coupons)
