I play oboe... I hope you all know what an oboe is??

I've wanted to learn to play oboe for the longest time, but there seems to be a shortage of school oboes in my district. xD

I don't know where you are but near where I am we got a brand new oboe and are only paying thirty dollars a month! The oboe is so fun to play because it has a wide range of high AND low notes and can get as soft as a flute and louder than a sax. At least me anyway lol. I just hate the fact how people complain about how we sound like ducks or geese but we don't. I mean really lol. BTW the other day was SO funny in band because our band director is gay and we all know it and he admitted it! OMG it was sooooooooooo funny.

I've really just been hoping to try one of the school oboes, and maybe buy my own instrument (I wish xD) if I found that I'd be able to progress (and if I was somehow able to get the money to do so), but the problem is that everybody seems to want to play oboe and we only have two that belong to our school. xD For now, though, I guess one "unusual" instrument is enough, until march anyhow. xD I'm playing piccolo this half of the year for band, and for pit band (not to mention the fact that I have a solo in band, and just being the piccolo player for pit band is a solo in itself).

I'll most likely see if I can borrow one of the school oboes at the beginning of next year, depending on what happens. xD

If I wanted to play another instrument, it would be snare drum. I started learning but the person teaching me was always busy and it was a little too loud for me.

I play trombone and piano. I only started piano last year so I'm not very good, but I enjoy it a lot.
That's funny, I was at a sectional the other day and we were talking about double tongue. i can't do it though, sorry. (I can flutter tongue, but I think that's much easier than double tongue.)

I play violin, and maybe a tinee bit of piano xD. For vibrato, I would ay to practice just keeping a finger in one spot and wiggling your hand around, but to me it just came. I don't remember much about it xD
Last year in orchestra, I was a 2nd violin, and this year I'm in 1st. And honestly, in my school, there are too many violins. Over 50% I would say of my school's Advanced Orchestra (which I'm in).

It's okay, I play viola, and there doesn't seem to be any of those here yet either. We ca form the Lone Instruments Club.
