these are rodents that are native to asian deserts, they have long hind legs that can allow them to travel at up to 15mph, whilst also being some of the smallest rodents in the world! their natural lifespan depending on species can be up to 6 years, very long for a creature so small!
closely related to jumping mice and kangaroo rats, jerboas look crazy!! sadly many of the 33 species i could find are threatened or near threatened :(
