How many pets have you had?

Decided to make this because I just lost one of my closest pets, and I miss her a lot.

Everyone loses and gains pets in life. Just the circle and stuff.


So, how many pets have you had, and how many would you wish to have?

hi! I'm sorry for your loss ~ losing those we love is very tough. <3

We've had 6 dogs, 2 gerbils, one cat (recently went missing and left us smh.) A bearded dragon, a handful of fish, and two turtles. And a hamster.

I would really love a blue tongued skink or another bearded dragon. A bird would be cool too. And a snake. And a rat.

I've had 3 dogs, 3 cats, a lot of goldfish, 3 hamsters, a russian box tortoise, 9 rabbits (so hard not to count all the babes I sold), 3 bearded dragons, 80+ chickens (okay fine I live on a ranch!), 5 horses, 15 pigs, and 2 beta fish.

Would love to have a corn snake, skinks, more betas and for sure more dogs and rabbits.

Dogs: Bart (b 1994, d 2008), Kiwi (b 2008), Athena (b 2013)
Cats: John-Luke (b 1998, d 2003), Nuisance (???-???), Boo (b 1999, d 2012), Sassy (b ???, d 2012), Fat Boy (b. before 1995, d 2012), Sparta (b 2011), Alex (b 2011), Ellie (b 2015)
Snakes: Monty (???-???), Jake (???-???), Chiquita (???-???), Ari (b 2007-2008, d 2012), Erin (b 2017), Evan (b 2013), three cali kings, two rosy boas
Lizards: Neio and Spot (b 2007-2008)
Like, 2 hamsters, 2 guinea pigs, 3 rats, 1 mouse, 2 rabbits, 3 bettas, various fish, 4 frogs (all deceased)
and current fish are 3x white skirted tetras, 3x black skirted tetras, and 1x female beta.

This isn't including around 45 snakes, an alligator, and numerous lizards that we had when I was very young. My parents bred reptiles.

So, more than 75. Of the living animals my family has, Kiwi is mine, and I have seven fish. I'm looking at two new snakes this December and a new dog next spring.

I have owned five mice in my life,,,, Pipsqueak, Pluto, Pikachu, Harvey Norman, and mousse.
I love them all still <3
I alos had a dog that died when I was six, a brown kelpie. I dont remember her much.
(and dont mind their strange names. They were also my little brothers mice, so...)

I've had many pets. When I was young, I recall a dog name Dozer and Moo. They've passed on though. I've also had a dog named Bella, whom I'm glad to say is still living.

I've had many cats. Snowflake and Pookie, Trixie and Booker, P.S (Penguin Sprinkles), Tina, Mila and Otis, Shila (my outside cat as of right now), and I'm fostering 4 kittens.

I've also had an Iguana and a gecko.

Cats - Meo, Mimi, Nibbles, Dai dai, Noi noi, Georgie, Tinker
Rabbit - Mifi
Rat - Bob
Guinea Pigs - Pollywag and Cheesecake
I loved all of them so much. Pollywag and Cheesecake we gave away when we left Belgium. All of the rest are dead except Mimi, Meo, and Nibbles
I don't know what animal I want but either a rat or a spider.

Lacey, golden retriever; 2005-2010, passed from cancer. :(

I also had two yellow labs and a black lab in the past but I hesitate to count them as one yellow lab was my cousins we took on as they neglected him, and the other yellow lab + black lab was my step dad's that we lived with only temporarily when I was 12-14.

Cats;

Bandit, don't quite remember years. He was mostly my mothers cat, but passed at 16 when I was younger.
Thumper, disappeared at around 8 or 9 when I was younger... outdoor cat. Which I'm against now.
Pandora, had to be put down at 14 roughly two years ago from kidney issues.
Mischief, passed five months ago at the age of 14... had heart and liver issues.
Skye, 2009 - current.
Milo, 2012- current.

Birds;

First birds were two budgies... I was very young and don't remember much of what happened to them. I believe they were Faith & hope but no memories beyond that...
Zoe, cockatiel, passed at only two when I was a kid (around 10?) and vet never told us why except something wrong with her crop. Was devasted.
Tango, sun conure, had to be rehomed back in 2008 when we moved across the country.
Zephyr, year and a half crimson bellied conure.
Lark, five month old white Quaker/monk parakeet.

Other;

3 rabbits
2 hamsters
4 mice
Leopard gecko
Misc. fish
Hermit crabs
2 guinea pigs

Makes me sick how much I did wrong with pets when I was younger, from too small cages for hamsters to poor quality food for the others (like pedigree/purina for dogs, bleh)... but least I learned and researched as I grew into adulthood and more than make up for it with my current pets.

My condolences about you lovely cat.

I had 400+ in my life time. Macaws, snakes, dogs, dwarf hamsters, bettas + other various fishes, african dwarf frogs, cats, rabbits, chinese water dragons, rats, mice, guinea pigs, budgies, chinchillas, ferrets, gerbils, snails, shrimps, african fat-tail geckos, moth hawks & syrian hamsters. Those were all pass pets. We multiple animals at the same time.
