As for book series on wolves, I know of one called Wolves of the Beyond, which I read.

Officially protected in Ethiopia under the Wildlife Conservation Regulations of 1974. Not listed by CITES, since no poaching or legal trade seem to affect it.

With expanding road construction across Afroalpine ranges, the frequency of wolves killed by cars may also increase.

Much of the Ethiopian wolves' decline during the last few decades is the result of habitat destruction, particularly in northern Ethiopia. Heather and grasslands have been cleared and ploughed to grow cereal crops and provide grazing. At least two local wolf populations in Shoa and Wollo have been extirpated in recent times due to habitat degradation, and the ranges of other wolf populations have been reduced and fragmneted. Extensive overgrazing by cattle may have a significantly unfavourable impact on rodent popualtions.

Ethiopian wolves readily breed with domesticated dogs, thus decreasing the bloodlines, equaling less wolves; but they are not the victim of illegal black market trade.

Oh yeah, me too. Well, Summerflow, you'd know that; you joined the fan club I made! Another wolf book I recently read is Never Cry Wolf by Farley Mowat. It's above my level, but I understood most of it. Maybe the vocabulary will help with my SAT someday... Anyway, I think I heard that there's a movie of it too, and that it's famous-ish. I dunno. Oh well!

I sadly don't recall reading any books, like fiction books on wolves. On non-fiction, but I am currently in the middle of writing about a pack of wolves. It's not very good though... >.<
