I prefer senior animals.

I agree. It breaks my heart every time I see a senior dog in a shelter. It just makes no sense to me at all. My dad wants to get a senior dog from a shelter some day. He always sees GSDs that are old on Facebook in shelters and wishes we could get them.
I fear my younger dogs would be too rough or annoying to an old dog who didn't live with them before to deal with 24/7.
If you love your dog, why should it matter that it is old, why would you get rid of it like that? I can't imagine doing that to any of my animals.

FuzzythePunkCat, it's highly likely -judging from Amber's face and build (I think I remember seeing other photos of her?)- that Dixie will look very similar to Amber when she reaches her golden years.

My dad's girlfriend is going to look for a pic of Amber when she was younger so we can see if she looked like Dixie.

Lol, I always laugh everytime I see the look on her face in the second pic. XD
Dixie will tolerate things on her head and is usually very good about balancing things, but I can tell it's not her favorite, haha!
BTW, I love your new sig pic! <3

I was digging around and finally found one of the pics I took of Dixie's mother, Cassandra.

And a random pic of how she used to sleep :'D
